Senior People Partner
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior People Partner based in Brazil.
This role serves as a trusted People advisor to managers and teams within a fast-paced, globally distributed technology environment. You will support the full talent lifecycle, from recruitment and onboarding through performance, development, and team transitions. The position combines strategic People partnership with hands-on involvement in employee relations and talent acquisition. You will use people data and team insights to identify trends, strengthen decision-making, and shape impactful People programs. Strong collaboration with managers and cross-functional stakeholders will be essential to building effective, inclusive, and high-performing teams. The role also offers meaningful opportunities to improve HR processes, support employer branding initiatives, and contribute to an evolving People function.
Accountabilities:
- Full Talent Lifecycle: Support employees and teams throughout the talent lifecycle, including sourcing, selection, onboarding, development, performance management, growth, transitions, and offboarding.
- Talent Acquisition: Contribute to hiring initiatives by leading intake conversations, supporting interview planning, participating in candidate interviews, facilitating debriefs, and helping teams make effective and inclusive hiring decisions.
- People Partnership: Act as a trusted advisor and sounding board for people managers, helping them navigate day-to-day people matters, team dynamics, communication challenges, performance conversations, and development opportunities.
- Employee Relations: Provide thoughtful guidance on team member relations matters, coach managers through appropriate next steps, and document and track relevant cases and conversations while maintaining consistency and professionalism.
- People Data & Insights: Use people data, team metrics, and organizational insights to identify trends, inform decisions, and help shape People strategies and programs.
- Performance & Manager Effectiveness: Support managers in strengthening team performance, communication, collaboration, development practices, and overall leadership effectiveness.
- People Programs: Identify, design, implement, and improve People initiatives that have a measurable impact on supported teams and the broader employee experience.
- Policy & Compliance: Help ensure consistent application of People policies and practices while supporting appropriate governance and compliance across employee-related processes.
- Employer Branding & Engagement: Support internal employer branding and engagement activities, including company communications, online events, team meetups, wellbeing initiatives, and development programs.
- Process Improvement: Design and improve scalable HR processes, identifying opportunities to increase efficiency, consistency, and the overall effectiveness of People operations.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with distributed, cross-functional, and global teams to deliver People initiatives and provide context-driven support to managers and employees.
- Professional Experience: 5+ years of experience in a People Partner, HR Business Partner, HR Generalist, or related role, preferably within the IT or technology industry.
- Talent Acquisition: At least 3 years of experience in talent acquisition or recruitment, with strong knowledge of full-cycle recruitment, sourcing strategies, interview processes, and candidate evaluation.
- People Management Expertise: Familiarity with employee relations, performance management, manager coaching, team dynamics, and day-to-day HR support.
- Recruitment Technology: Experience using applicant tracking systems (ATS) and working with recruitment metrics and talent data.
- Business Acumen: Strong business mindset with the ability to prioritize People initiatives according to business needs, team impact, and organizational priorities.
- Scalable HR Experience: Experience working within larger organizations or environments where HR processes and programs need to support hundreds or thousands of employees.
- Data & Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze people data, identify meaningful trends, draw actionable insights, and understand basic statistical concepts.
- Process Design: Demonstrated ability to design, implement, and continuously improve HR processes and People programs.
- Technology Environment: Experience working within an engineering organization or familiarity with technology and IT-focused business environments.
- Communication: Excellent communication and active listening skills, with the ability to build trust and establish strong relationships with managers and team members.
- Employee Relations: Comfortable handling sensitive and potentially challenging conversations with empathy, discretion, professionalism, and sound judgment.
- Adaptability: Flexible and calm under pressure, with the ability to manage changing priorities in a dynamic, global working environment.
- Curiosity & Problem Solving: Naturally curious, proactive, and motivated to understand context, challenge existing approaches, and identify better ways to support teams.
- AI & HR: Genuine interest in how artificial intelligence can support and enhance HR and People practices.
- Languages: Fluency in both English and Portuguese.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
- Compensation: USD $4,000–$4,500 per month under a B2B contract.
