Senior PET Engineer

• Monitor and optimize PET Preform Injection Molding processes to achieve production, quality, and efficiency targets.

• Follow up on machine performance, production parameters, cycle time, downtime, and scrap.

• Troubleshoot PET processing and molding issues and implement effective corrective actions.

• Follow up on PET molds, hot runner systems, and machine settings.

• Identify and resolve common PET preform defects and process deviations.

• Support process optimization, scrap reduction, cycle-time improvement, and productivity enhancement.

• Analyze production and quality data and recommend process improvements.

• Coordinate with Production, Quality, Maintenance, and Tooling teams to ensure smooth operations.

• Ensure compliance with established production, quality, and safety procedures.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Production, or Industrial Engineering.

• Relevant experience in PET Preform Manufacturing / Injection Molding.

• Strong practical knowledge of PET processing and injection molding.

• Experience with PET preform injection machines, preferably Husky HyPET or similar.

• Good knowledge of:

  • PET processing parameters

  • Injection & holding pressure

  • Melt and mold temperature

  • Cooling time

  • Cycle time

  • Hot runner systems

  • PET molds and cavities

• Ability to troubleshoot common PET preform defects and identify root causes.

• Experience in process optimization, scrap reduction, and productivity improvement.

• Good understanding of OEE, downtime, and production efficiency.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Good communication and coordination skills.

• Willingness to work in a shift-based manufacturing environment.
  Preferred

  • Experience in a high-volume plastic manufacturing environment.

  • Experience with Husky HyPET / HyCAP or similar systems.

  • Experience with PET preforms and plastic closures/caps.
