Senior PHP Developer - Fintech - Brussels

Our client is a growing technology company based in the heart of Brussels, developing business-critical solutions within a highly regulated and fast-evolving environment.Technology is at the core of its strategy, with several exciting projects planned over the coming years, including a significant migration towards AWS.

They are looking for a Senior PHP Developer to join their engineering team and play a key role in the evolution of business-critical applications. The successful candidate will work on backend development with PHP and Laravel, contribute to a major AWS migration project, and progressively become a technical reference within the team

• Develop and maintain scalable backend applications using PHP and Laravel.
• Participate in the modernization of the technology stack and cloud migration initiatives.
• Collaborate closely with technical leadership on architectural decisions.
• Ensure code quality through reviews, testing, and best development practices.
• Analyse business needs and translate them into robust technical solutions.
• Troubleshoot complex technical issues and propose long-term improvements.
• Contribute to system reliability, security, and performance optimization.
• Share knowledge and support the growth of the development team.

• Minimum 7 years of software development experience.
• Strong expertise in PHP and Laravel.
• Experience working on complex business applications.
• Ability to work independently and quickly identify priorities.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
