Summary
Provide physiotherapy treatment and rehabilitation for adult patients, including stroke and post-surgical care, while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate physiotherapy treatment programmes for adult patients requiring rehabilitation.
- Perform comprehensive clinical assessments and apply clinical reasoning to develop individualised rehabilitation plans.
- Provide physiotherapy interventions for patients with conditions such as stroke, fractures, post-surgical deconditioning, dementia, and other rehabilitation needs.
- Monitor patients' progress and modify treatment plans based on clinical outcomes and rehabilitation goals.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure coordinated, patient-centred care and effective discharge planning.
- Educate patients, families, and caregivers on rehabilitation programmes, mobility, exercise, and strategies to promote functional independence.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with professional standards and organisational policies.
- Supervise and provide clinical guidance to junior Physiotherapists, Physiotherapy Assistants, and physiotherapy students, where applicable.
- Participate in departmental meetings, quality improvement initiatives, and continuing professional development activities.
Requirements
- Minimum a degree in Physiotherapy.
- Full Registration with AHPC.
