Senior Platform Engineer (Infrastructure - Developer Experience & Enablement Platform)

Summary

The Senior Platform Engineer will join the Developer Experience & Enablement Platform team to design and build infrastructure, tooling, and golden paths for over 100 applications. This role involves working across the stack to improve developer productivity and platform reliability within a large-scale retail environment.

About the role

We’re looking for a passionate and experienced Senior Platform Engineer to join our Developer Experience & Enablement Platform (DEEP) team. Within this team, we provide a trusted engineering foundation through reliable platform infrastructure, opinionated libraries and tooling, and clear golden paths.

In this role, you'll design and build new intelligent capabilities of the platform that serves around 100 applications.

This is a high-impact position where you’ll work holistically across the stack, dive into complex technical challenges, and help shape the future of Tesco’s technical landscape.


Salary

UoP 26 000 - 33 000 PLN gross/month

You will need:
  • 8+ years of experience building and shipping production-grade infrastructure and/or applications.
  • Deep understanding of cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP), infrastructure-as-code and networking fundamentals (DNS, TLS, ingress).
  • Strong expertise in system design and full-stack development.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Proven ability to own projects end-to-end, from concept to production.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to explain complex topics clearly.
  • Experience mentoring engineers and fostering technical growth within teams.
  • A holistic mindset — you care about reliability, performance, developer experience, and long-term impact.
  • A proactive, self-driven attitude with a focus on delivering meaningful value.
