Senior Platform & Systems Engineer
About the role
We're looking for a full-time contractor to join our team. This is a contractor position requiring full-time availability, offering the opportunity to work closely with our team on an ongoing basis.
As our Senior Platform & Systems Engineer, you'll be the technical owner of the infrastructure that powers Safe365. You'll work across cloud infrastructure, DevOps, platform security, release management and operational engineering, ensuring our platform remains secure, resilient and highly available for customers. This is a senior, hands-on role where you'll have the autonomy to improve how we build, deploy and operate our technology while working closely with our CTO and development team. You'll play a key role in shaping the future of our platform as we continue to grow.
Key responsibilities
Designing, managing and improving our Azure cloud environment
Building secure, automated deployment pipelines using Azure DevOps and Infrastructure as Code
Ensuring our SaaS platform is scalable, resilient and always available
Leading platform security, monitoring, vulnerability management and incident response
Supporting customer onboarding, tenant provisioning and platform migrations
Improving platform performance through monitoring, optimisation and continuous improvement
Creating documentation, operational processes and technical standards that enable the business to scale
Evaluating new technologies and helping shape our platform roadmap
About you
Strong experience designing and operating Microsoft Azure environments
Experience with Azure DevOps, CI/CD and deployment automation
A solid understanding of cloud networking, identity and security
Experience supporting production SaaS platforms
Excellent troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills
Experience with monitoring, observability and operational tooling
The ability to communicate technical concepts clearly and maintain high-quality documentation
Experience with Terraform, Bicep, Kubernetes, Microsoft Defender for Cloud, Microsoft Sentinel or security compliance frameworks such as ISO27001 or SOC2 would be highly desirable
