Senior Portfolio Manager
What are your core tasks and responsibilities (summarized)
Portfolio analysis: Analyze business and operational portfolio developments and identify potential mismatches in (data) processes across the value chain. Report findings and insights to key internal stakeholders. Independently test underwriting, costing, and pricing for all products sold in the Netherlands. Validate accurate determination of premium components such as risk premium, internal expenses, and Cost of Capital (CoC).
Underwriting: Review terms and conditions of products for potential qualitative impact and provide recommendations as to adjustments.
Capital Modelling: Responsible for developing, maintaining, and validating the local capital requirements in line with the entity capital model and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g., Solvency II) thus supporting strategic decision-making.
Class reserving: Represent the business in the Reserving process, follow-up on (clarifying) actions and drive mitigation in the business. Participate in the calculations of technical provisions from a product perspective.
Business planning: Lead the annual business planning process from a business perspective.
We are looking for someone who has the ability to apply a multifaceted approach in problem solving, including identifying root causes, considering various solutions, implementation and critical evaluation of the outcomes. It also requires the ability to adapt and refine the problem-solving process as new information emerges. This level involves higher-order thinking skills such as analysis, evaluation, execution and creative thinking.
