Senior Power BI Consultant - Technology Experts

About the role
Arj Global is hiring a Power BI Consultant on behalf of our client, a leading global retailer. The client is scaling its global Price Comparison tool, the central hub for market competitiveness across regions, and needs to move from generic reporting to tailored, actionable insights for local country operations.

You will bridge the gap between complex pricing data and country teams by building intuitive visualisations and giving rapid support on business-critical queries.

Scope of the assignment

• Own the transformation of raw pricing data into high-performing, interactive Power BI dashboards that let regional managers track competitiveness with ease.

• Set up reliable data modelling practices and turn unstructured country-specific requests into clean analytical datasets.

• Act as the primary analytical sparring partner for local teams, so country operations can make fast, data-backed commercial decisions.

What you ll do

• Design and maintain interactive, user-friendly Power BI reports and dashboards for regional pricing KPIs.

• Run ad-hoc analyses on sudden market trends, margin variances and competitive shifts across countries.

• Work closely with markets to gather requirements, explain insights and test strategic ideas with country stakeholders.

• Prepare and clean data in Power Query and SQL to bring disparate country inputs into a single source of truth.

• Present complex findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.

What we re looking for

Must-haves

• Databricks-to-Power BI integration: proven ability to query, model and optimise large-scale data from Databricks into high-performing Power BI dashboards.

• AI-driven analytics: hands-on use of AI tools such as Copilot in Power BI, Databricks AI functions or predictive modelling to speed up insights and automate ad-hoc requests.

• Agility in ad-hoc problem solving: a proactive mindset and fast turnaround on fluid, unstructured analytical requests.

Core skills

• Expert-level Power BI, including DAX, Power Query, data modelling and strong dashboard layout design.

• Strong SQL for extracting and structuring data from multi-regional databases.

• Excellent stakeholder management and the ability to connect numbers to business context.

Nice to have

• Experience in retail economics, competitive analysis or pricing strategy metrics.
