Description
About the Role
Join a hands-on avionics team developing power systems and electronics for hypersonic flight vehicles. You will own critical hardware subsystems from initial design through validation and production integration.
What You'll Do
Design power electronics PCBAs, including motor controllers, DC-DC converters, inverters, power switches, and power distribution systems.
Own hardware development from schematic design through bring-up, debugging, validation, and production integration.
Define subsystem requirements and develop power system solutions in the context of the overall vehicle.
Design high-voltage and high-current systems for actuators, power filtering, and mission-critical avionics power buses.
Support power electronics development for ground systems as needed.
What We're Looking For
Three to 15 years of power electronics design experience, including motor controllers, DC-DC converters, or power distribution PCBAs.
A BS, MS, or PhD in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
Hands-on experience designing and validating power electronics hardware, including PCB design with Altium or an equivalent tool.
Experience owning hardware development through production, with demonstrated circuit design and debugging skills.
Familiarity with SPICE and MATLAB/Simulink, plus knowledge of high-voltage systems and EMI/EMC.
Flight hardware or other high-reliability experience in aerospace, defense, automotive, robotics, or a similar field is valuable.
Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident and eligible for security clearance.
