Senior Power Platform Engineer

Job Description Must have: Skills / Knowledge / Experience Must Have Deep, handson experience with Microsoft Power Apps, particularly advanced Canvas app development, including complex Power Fx logic, component libraries, reusable patterns, and performance optimisation Must Have Advanced experience with Power Automate, designing and maintaining complex, businesscritical flows with robust error handling, logging, retry strategies, and integrations Must Have Strong understanding of Dataverse, SharePoint, and Power Platform connectors, including data modelling, security configuration, and performance considerations Must Have Proven experience with Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) for Power Platform, including solutions, environment separation (Dev/Test/Prod), pipelines, and environment variables Must Have Solid knowledge of security, access control, and governance within the Power Platform, including rolebased security, data loss prevention (DLP) policies, and compliance requirements Must Have Experience designing and implementing integrations with enterprise systems, including REST APIs, Azure services (Functions, Logic Apps, Service Bus where applicable), and data platforms (e.g. SQL, Databricks) Must Have Familiarity with Power Platform Copilot and AIassisted features, and the ability to assess and apply them responsibly within enterprise and governance constraints Must Have Strong understanding of solution architecture principles, including scalability, maintainability, reusability, and cost awareness Must Have Ability to identify, assess, and remediate technical debt, performance bottlenecks, and maintainability risks Must Have Experience establishing and applying development standards, best practices, and reusable assets across multiple solutions Must Have Comfortable reviewing designs and implementations from other engineers and providing constructive technical feedback Must Have Strong ownership mindset, with the ability to work independently on complex, ambiguous, or crosscutting technical topics Must Have Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills, with a structured, pragmatic approach to solution design Must Have Ability to translate complex business requirements into robust, scalable, and enterpriseready technical solutions Must Have Strong communication skills, able to explain technical decisions, tradeoffs, and risks to both technical and nontechnical stakeholders Must Have Proactive and curious approach to continuous learning and platform evolution, actively monitoring Power Platform roadmap and best practices Main Responsibilities (Give 6 to 8 main areas of work. Scope of the job (give details of nature and scope of role) Info The Senior Power Platform Engineer contributes to the development and evolution of product and business capabilities by designing, owning, and delivering highquality, secure, and scalable Power Platform solutions. Info The role covers the endtoend lifecycle of Power Platform solutions—from solution design and architecture decisions through development, testing, release, and production operation. The Senior Power Platform Engineer addresses complex and evolving business requirements by selecting, designing, and actively developing appropriate Power Platform patterns, integrations, and governance approaches. Info They take technical ownership of Power Apps and Power Automate solutions, ensuring they are robust, maintainable, performant, reusable, and aligned with enterprise architecture, security, and governance standards. Info Working closely with the Product Owner, Solution Architect, Data Engineers, and Business Analysts, the Senior Power Platform Engineer independently drives technical decisions, proactively identifies and remediates technical debt, and continuously improves the quality, efficiency, and reliability of delivered solutions.
