Senior Power Platform Software Developer

Rates: $110 - $130 per hour (inc. super)
The Australian Maritime Safety Authority (AMSA) are seeking software engineers who have experience overseeing software development projects, writing optimised code, and provide technical leadership to a team of software engineers. They will be responsible for the quality and functionality of the software produced by their team. The successful developers will join an inflight portal project program, myAMSA.
myAMSA supports AMSA's organisational strategy by delivering a digital-first approach to maritime regulation, improving customer experience, streamlining business processes, enhancing data capability and enabling more efficient regulatory service delivery. The portal has been developed in-house and will continue to be expanded to support additional services.
Essential criteria
- Demonstrated experience developing solutions using Microsoft Dynamics 365, Dataverse and the Power Platform, including Power Pages.
- Strong front-end development skills using JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML and CSS, with experience in modern frameworks such as Vue.js.
- Strong full-stack development skills, including experience with C#, .NET, REST APIs, JSON and SQL, and integrating front-end applications with backend services.
- Experience with Azure and Power Platform integration technologies, such as API Management, Azure Functions, Logic Apps and Power Automate.
- Experience working with established application architectures, development patterns and reusable components, including Azure DevOps, source control and CI/CD practices.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills, with demonstrated experience working collaboratively within multidisciplinary delivery teams.
Desirable criteria
- Experience with AI and intelligent automation technologies, such as Azure AI, Microsoft Copilot, AI Builder, generative AI or agent-based solutions.
- Relevant Microsoft certifications across Power Platform, Dynamics 365, Azure or AI will be highly regarded.
