About the Role

Envent Corporation is looking for a hands-on Senior Preventative Maintenance professional to lead shop and yard operations, keep our fleet of equipment inspection-ready, and support field operations when needed. This role owns the preventive maintenance program from end to end; scheduling, parts, quality control, and compliance; while also supervising and developing shop personnel. It's a great fit for someone who is organized, safety-first, and comfortable being the go-to person equipment relies on.

What You'll Do

  • Lead the preventive maintenance program — scheduling, parts inventory, and purchasing — for all shop equipment.
  • Provide quality control on every piece of equipment leaving the shop, verifying accessories and parts before it heads to a job.
  • Keep the shop and yard organized, secure, and audit-ready; submit at least one SCAN and two yard audits per week.
  • Perform required a.m./p.m. jobsite safety audits and lead incident and accident investigations.
  • Track equipment availability, maintenance history, and testing logs, and flag lost, stolen, or spent inventory.
  • Supervise, coach, and develop Shop personnel — including hiring, scheduling, discipline, and training.
  • Build strong vendor and customer relationships and maintain purchase order and regulatory records.
  • Step into field operations support when shop coverage is tight, and keep the Regional Operations Manager informed of equipment status.

What You Bring

  • High school diploma or equivalent; an associate degree in fabrication, electrical, or industrial control is a plus but not require; relevant industry experience is valued in its place.
  • Strong working knowledge of DOT vehicle compliance and a genuine commitment to safety.
  • Basic computer skills in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word.
  • Familiarity with materials, metallurgy, and applicable standards (ANSI, API, and related codes).
  • Clear, confident communicator who can lead a crew and work effectively with vendors, customers, and management.
  • Valid TWIC card, RSO, or comparable refinery-area training card (or ability to obtain one).
  • Willingness to be available on a 24/7 on-call basis.
  • Comfortable working in and around active industrial sites, including regular exposure to outside weather, fumes or airborne particles, and toxic or caustic chemicals common to an active site (appropriate PPE provided and required).

Work Environment & Physical Demands

This is both a shop and a field position. The Associate may work in outside weather conditions and will be in industrial plants that expose him or her to fumes, airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and other potentially hazardous conditions common to an active site; appropriate PPE is provided and required. Physical demands include sitting, walking, climbing, stooping, and bending, with occasional lifting or moving up to 50 lbs. Candidates must be physically fit and able to pass the company physical.

Travel

This role requires some travel, including responding to equipment breakdown calls, periodic supplier visits, training and enrichment, and supervising offsite jobs.

Safety

Safety is a core value at Envent. We're proud to maintain one of the lowest experience modification rates (EMR) and OSHA total recordable injury rates (TRIR) in our industry, a record we hold by making safe practices a conscious part of every job. All employees are expected to adhere to Envent's safety rules and policies as well as those of our customers.

Why Envent

Join a team that backs up its safety record with real training, strong vendor and customer relationships, and room to grow into broader operations leadership.
