What You’ll Own
Reporting to the Molding Manager, you will serve as a subject matter expert in injection molding, responsible for developing, optimizing, and maintaining processes that improve quality, scrap, cost, workflow, and on-time delivery.
You will:
- Develop and optimize injection molding processes for new and existing programs.
- Troubleshoot molding conditions and identify root causes of cosmetic, dimensional, and structural issues.
- Conduct DOE/window studies and establish robust, repeatable processing parameters.
- Apply scientific injection molding principles to improve consistency, quality, and performance.
- Advise on tooling, fixtures, equipment, automation, materials, and process improvements.
- Interpret engineering drawings and identify potential risks affecting scrap, labor, quality, and part cost.
- Develop and maintain controlled process documentation and procedures.
- Lead targeted 5S and Lean manufacturing improvements.
- Partner directly with customers, suppliers, and internal teams as the injection molding technical expert.
- Train and develop molding-floor employees on equipment and injection molding processes.
What You Bring
You are a hands-on technical professional who takes pride in knowing your craft and continuously getting better at it. You work well independently, stay focused, and believe the details matter.
You bring:
- Strong hands-on injection molding processing and troubleshooting capability.
- Knowledge of engineered resins and material properties.
- Understanding of molds, tooling, auxiliary equipment, automation, and molding systems.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to translate technical information into practical solutions.
- A disciplined approach to safety, documentation, accuracy, and quality.
- The ability to work independently with minimal supervision while building strong one-to-one working relationships.
Experience in aerospace manufacturing and certifications such as Scientific Injection Molding, Master Molder, or equivalent injection molding education are highly valued.

Salary: $45 - $55/hr
