Job Summary

Lead process improvement initiatives to enhance safety, quality, productivity, and cost-efficiency in petrochemical operations. Collaborate cross-functionally to manage projects, evaluate process performance, and implement Industry 4.0 technologies.

Responsibilities

• Draft and implement process improvement initiatives to enhance occupational safety, product quality, energy efficiency, production capacity, and cost reduction using Management of Change and non-regular work systems
• Coordinate and plan new grade trial runs with R&D and Operations teams, managing execution and evaluation of trial outcomes
• Analyze long-term and periodic process performance and key parameters to identify risks affecting plant stability, safety, or quality
• Participate actively in HAZOP, FMEA, and Control Plan studies to drive safety and quality improvements as the Process Engineering representative
• Lead process-related capital expenditure projects from conceptual design through Front End Engineering Design (FEED) under department management guidance
• Research and implement Industry 4.0 technologies to support productivity improvement projects
• Collaborate with departments to maintain compliance with management systems including ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO45001, SS651, IATF16949, Safety Case Regime, Energy Management System, and ISCC Plus
• Conduct studies related to Non-Revenue Water (NRW), Management of Change (MOC), and other requests from departments as the Process Engineering function

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Chemical Engineering
• Minimum 5 years of experience in petrochemical industries for senior roles; preferably 3 years for other positions
• Familiarity with Safety Case Regime, IATF 16949, ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO45001, SS651, and IEC 61511 standards
• Experience with Distributed Control System (DCS), especially logic and sequence modification
• Singapore Certified Energy Manager (SCEM) certification is advantageous
• Ability to multitask and manage diverse responsibilities effectively
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
