Senior Process Engineer Warehouse/Logistics

Orion Group Life Sciences are looking for a Senior Process Engineer Warehouse & Logistics on behalf of our Multinational Pharmaceutical/Biotechnology client located in Breda. Initial 12-month contract, with highly possibility of extension. Hybrid position, onsite at least 3 days per week.

Expectations/scope/complexity:

• Knowledge:
  • Broad knowledge within own specialty area:
    • Understands the core business process and purpose of the own functional area in the commercialization process of our client.
    • Good understanding of business priorities and direction.
  • Good knowledge of industry practices and general business principles.
  • Expand knowledge of related disciplinary areas like Quality Assurance, Engineering or Manufacturing through leveraging input of Subject Matter Experts and recognizing & understanding patterns and trends.
  • Employing fit-for-purpose project management techniques.
• Problem Solving:
  • Applies analytical skills to evaluate and interpret complex situations or problems using multiple sources of information both qualitative and quantitative.
  • Anticipates and prevents potential problems based on analysis.
  • Utilizes advanced analytical tools to model, monitor & predict process performance.
  • Creates new methods, processes and procedures to drive desired results.
  • Handles a diverse scope of issues that require (cross functional) evaluation of a variety of factors to determine solutions.
• Autonomy:
  • Works under minimal direction.
  • Work is guided by operational and project objectives:
    • Manages multiple assignments and processes simultaneously.
    • Independently determines approach to an initiative, project or issue.
  • Will be responsible for specific program or project objectives.
  • Independently develops solutions that are robust, practical and in line with functional objectives.

Required Qualifications and skills

• Bachelor or Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering or comparable Engineering or Science degree).
• 5 years’ experience in the field of Industrial Engineering or performance improvement in operational department.
• Minimal 2 years’ experience in a highly regulated business environment (such as Pharma, Chemistry or Food).
• Experience in optimizing internal value streams.
• Proven analytical skills (e.g. through Six Sigma or Green Belt).
• Data savviness and expert skills in using multiple analytical tools.
• Fluency in English both in oral and written communication.
• Dutch language skills (preferred).
• Good understanding of GDP and GMP (preferred).
• Proven project management skills (preferred).
• Curious mindset: willingness to understand the details without losing track of the bigger picture.
• Problem Solving: use of structured methods to solve complex problems.
• Drive for results: eagerness to deliver on the objectives.
• Drives change: consistently dares to challenge the status quo.
• Interpersonal savvy: relates well to all kinds of people and levels within and outside the department.
• Organizational agility: knows how to get things done both through the forma and the informal channels
