What you’ll be doing \:

As a Senior Procurement Engineer within the Airframe and General Systems team, you will support strategic sourcing and value‑focused procurement activity across a portfolio of suppliers. You will evaluate supplier pricing, drive cost‑reduction strategies, and support affordability campaigns to ensure value‑for‑money outcomes. Your role requires robust supplier relationship maintenance, effective risk mitigation and supply chain resilience, alongside supporting Life Cycle Management and governance activities. You will work cross‑functionally to enable supplier performance and ensure commercial and contractual requirements are met.

Core duties\:

  • Support all sourcing and strategic procurement activity for allocated suppliers, including negotiating pricing and contractual terms and conditions
  • Work cross‑functionally across the Air business, collaborating with Programme Management, Engineering, Commercial, Finance and Logistics Planning teams
  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders to ensure products and services meet governance requirements and deliver optimum value for money
  • Act as the primary interface for commercial and contractual matters, maintaining supplier relationships, mitigating risks and supporting supply chain resilience
  • Support senior supplier reviews and contribute to performance, cost and contractual discussions

Essential Skills\:

  • Robust negotiation capability, with experience in pricing discussions and negotiating contractual terms and conditions across strategic or high‑priority suppliers
  • Ability to coordinate key strategic suppliers, build long‑term relationships and influence effectively across internal and external stakeholders
  • Demonstrable ability to influence and challenge stakeholders and suppliers at all levels, showing persistence and commercial tenacity to resolve issues, overcome resistance and secure optimal business outcomes
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, with the ability to compile data, interpret information and present clear recommendations through reports and presentations
  • Previous procurement experience with a continuous improvement mindset, demonstrating examples of identifying improvements, solving problems and collaborating with others to deliver effective solutions

The Airframe & General Systems Value Team\:

The team supports strategic procurement activity across a diverse supplier base, driving value, cost efficiency and supply chain resilience. Working closely with Engineering, Programme teams and external partners, the team supports sourcing, risk maintenance and contract delivery across key systems.
