Senior Procurement Manager
As a Senior Procurement Manager, you are responsible for developing and executing sourcing strategies for logistics service providers (LSPs), ensuring competitive pricing, high service quality, and long-term supplier partnerships.
You will manage complex RFQ and tender processes end-to-end, lead strategic negotiations with transport providers, and coordinate closely with engineering, operations, and customer-facing teams. The role is currently strongly connected to a major global customer in the tobacco industry, while also supporting broader procurement initiatives across Integrated Logistics.
Although the role currently has no direct reports, you will functionally coordinate procurement-related activities with shared service and engineering teams, including a team in India.
How you create impact
- Lead transport procurement activities and RFQ processes for strategic customers across multiple markets
- Develop and execute sourcing strategies for logistics service providers and transport partners
- Conduct supplier negotiations, contract discussions, rate reviews, and strategic procurement evaluations
- Analyze transport markets, supplier capabilities, and operational constraints to identify optimization opportunities
- Build and maintain strong relationships with transport providers, customers, and internal stakeholders
- Support cost-saving initiatives and continuous improvement projects across Integrated Logistics operations
- Ensure procurement processes, documentation, and compliance standards are followed consistently
- Provide market analysis, benchmarking, and procurement reporting to support business decisions
What we would like you to bring
- Minimum 5 years of experience in logistics procurement or transport procurement, ideally with strong road transport exposure
- Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Experience managing tenders, RFQs, supplier negotiations, and multimodal transport solutions
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills in an international environment
- Fluent English skills; experience with digital procurement tools and logistics systems is an advantage
