Senior Procurement Officer
Salary: No contractor fees / two pay runs per week
Contract to 26/02/2027 plus extension to February 2028 | Brisbane CBD | Hybrid Working
Lime Recruitment is currently working with a Queensland Government client to recruit an experienced Senior Procurement Officer. In this role you will provide end-to-end procurement, contract management, commercial governance, and financial tracking support across project and operational initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate and support end-to-end procurement activities including market approaches, RFQs, RFTs, evaluation processes, contract establishment, and variations.
Manage the ongoing administration of contractual arrangements, monitoring deliverables, milestones, obligations, and reporting requirements.
Provide expert procurement, commercial, and contract management advice to project teams, senior managers, and key stakeholders.
Monitor vendor performance against contractual service levels and KPIs, escalating risks and recommending corrective actions where required.
Support commercial negotiations, contract renewals, extensions, and procurement planning across ICT and project workstreams.
Monitor contract expenditure, financial commitments, invoice validation, and budget forecasting to deliver value-for-money outcomes.
Prepare comprehensive procurement documentation, governance papers, briefing materials, and contract performance reports.
Maintain complete, auditable procurement and contract records to ensure compliance with legislative, policy, and governance frameworks.
About You:
Demonstrated experience in end-to-end procurement, contract management, and commercial governance within government or highly regulated environments.
Strong understanding of procurement principles, contract administration, vendor performance management, and financial reporting.
Proven ability to interpret contract terms and conditions, monitor supplier performance against service levels, and manage risk.
Experience supporting ICT, technology, digital transformation, or professional services procurement activities.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail in maintaining complete and auditable records.
Excellent stakeholder engagement, negotiation, and communication skills with the ability to manage competing priorities under tight deadlines.
Relevant tertiary qualifications in Procurement, Commerce, Law, or Business, and/or Procurement Certification (Level 3+) are highly regarded.
