Senior Procurement Officer

We are looking for an experienced Senior Purchasing Officer to join our procurement team in Kuwait. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing purchasing activities and ensuring the timely and cost-effective procurement of materials, equipment, and services for oil & gas projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the complete purchasing cycle from PR/MR through to delivery.
• Source and evaluate local and international suppliers.
• Obtain quotations, prepare commercial comparisons, and negotiate prices and terms.
• Issue and manage Purchase Orders (POs).
• Follow up and expedite orders to ensure on-time delivery.
• Coordinate with project, engineering, warehouse, logistics, and finance teams.
• Procure oil & gas materials, equipment, spare parts, tools, and consumables.
• Maintain supplier relationships and develop alternative sources.
• Ensure compliance with company, project, quality, and client requirements.

Skills

Requirements:



• Bachelor's degree/diploma in Procurement, Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5–8 years of purchasing/procurement experience, preferably in oil & gas, EPC, or contracting.
• Previous experience in the Kuwait oil & gas sector is preferred.
• Experience using Microsoft Dynamics is highly preferred.
• Valid Kuwait driving license is required.
• Strong negotiation, supplier management, and commercial skills.
• Good knowledge of MS Office and ERP systems.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.
