Senior Procurement Specialist (Sourcing)
Job Purpose
To drive global sourcing strategy, identify
new low-cost high-quality material suppliers, manage strategic vendor
relationships, and optimize total cost of ownership.
Key Responsibilities
Global Sourcing: Discover, evaluate, and
onboard new polymer and plastic raw material manufacturers across China, Korea,
Thailand, and emerging markets.
Strategic Negotiation: Lead high-value
contract negotiations to secure optimal payment terms, volume discounts, and
annual pricing agreements.
Supplier Qualification: Conduct rigorous
risk assessments, background checks, and quality compliance audits on
prospective global vendors.
Market Intelligence: Analyze global
petrochemical market trends, tariff shifts, and freight indexes to optimize
procurement timing.
Process Oversight: Supervise the junior
coordination workflow to ensure flawless documentation handover and rapid sales
pricing support.
Relationship Management: Build and maintain
high-level strategic partnerships with global refinery and distribution heads.
Requirements
Requirements
Experience: 5+ years of strategic sourcing
experience specifically within the plastics, polymers, or petrochemical
sectors. (e.g., PVC, HDPE, LLDP, Engineering Plastics)
Expertise: Proven track record of auditing
and establishing direct manufacturer relationships in Asian and global markets.
Skills: Advanced contract negotiation,
supply chain risk management, and ERP software proficiency.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain
Management, Chemical Engineering, International Business, or a related
discipline.
Language requirements
needed for smooth communication – English/Korean (Mandatory)
Chinese ( preferred).
