About the Role:
We are looking for a Senior Product Analyst (Laboratory Systems) to support and enhance laboratory instrument data acquisition software used by hundreds of scientists conducting research in both GxP and non-GxP environments. This role combines business analysis, application support, stakeholder management, and regulatory compliance responsibilities to ensure the successful adoption, operation, and continuous improvement of critical laboratory systems.
Responsibilities:
Act as the main project liaison to business stakeholders and Quality Management teams
Collaborate with business SMEs to draft system use workflows and provide software-specific guidance supporting SOP development
Maintain stakeholder alignment, document decisions, and escalate governance issues as needed
Serve as the primary contact for intake analysis sessions related to the migration of existing and new business groups
Elicit use cases, instrument work processes, user access and roles, and data transfer, workflow, and integration requirements
Understand and document GxP and non-GxP workflows
Support onboarding activities, including execution planning, training schedules, and post go-live follow-ups
Document integration requirements, user groups, project groups, and validation considerations related to the application
Explain the rationale behind software configuration decisions, including metadata fields, custom calculations, standards, and organization-specific configurations
Review vendor release documentation and conduct impact assessments on business workflows and system configurations
Recommend adoption activities, configuration updates, and stakeholder communication actions
Determine testing needs and develop and execute regression test scripts
Provide tier-1 support, triage issues, escalate technical matters when required, and track recurring issues for training and content improvement purposes
Create and maintain self-help resources, FAQs, and training materials to reduce repeat queries
Maintain and update Digital SDLC documentation for application development and configuration activities in alignment with organizational policies and GxP requirements
Ensure design decisions, metadata standards, and configuration rationales are properly documented to support audits and future change requests
Requirements:
Minimum 3 years of experience supporting lab-based instrument data acquisition software in a pharmaceutical R&D environment, experience with Unicorn and/or Biacore Insight software is a plus
Strong understanding of laboratory workflows and scientific data management in the pharmaceutical R&D space (GxP and non-GxP)
Experience with GxP and regulatory considerations relevant to systems supporting lab data, including controlled access, audit trails, and validated processes
Proven experience running onboarding intake sessions, eliciting requirements, and developing system configuration requirements
Experience developing User Acceptance Testing test cases and supporting testers through UAT
Hands-on experience working with integration projects, including requirements gathering, data mapping, and stakeholder coordination
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical configuration decisions to both technical and non-technical audiences
Strong organizational skills and experience managing support channels and prioritizing requests across a large user base
Proven success producing user documentation and training materials, conducting 1:1 and group training sessions
Previous experience using JIRA, Xray/Vera, and ServiceNow is a plus
