Senior Product Designer

Summary

Aize is seeking a Senior Product Designer to evolve their design system for a digital twin platform, focusing on creating reusable patterns and components to improve product coherence. The role involves close collaboration with product teams and engineers to bridge the gap between design files and implementation.

About us

Aize builds software that helps engineers, planners, and schedulers make sense of complex oil and gas facilities and plan work with confidence. Our design challenge is turning 3D, asset data, technical documentation, and planning workflows into one connected, intuitive experience.

Great design is a key part of what sets Aize apart: helping people understand what they are seeing, trust the information in front of them, and make better decisions.

We’re looking for a Senior UX Designer to help evolve the design system behind Aize’s digital twin experience. You’ll build on an established system, making it easier to use, scale, and apply consistently as Aize grows.

What you tell your friends you do

“I help product teams turn repeated design problems into shared patterns they can trust and build on.”

What you will really be doing

⚙️ Turn recurring product problems into shared patterns, components and guidance that teams can confidently reuse across Aize.

💻 Own design-system work from problem framing through design, documentation and adoption, partnering closely with our design system lead and product teams.

🎨 Strengthen the connection between Figma, tokens, Storybook and implementation, making sure the system works beyond the design file.

🧩 Spot inconsistencies, accessibility gaps and quality issues across the product and decide what should be solved locally or at system level.

🤖 Help evolve how our design system supports AI-assisted workflows, making patterns and guidance easier for both people and tools to understand and reuse.

How you will be doing this

  • Stay close to product teams, understanding where they’re getting stuck and where a shared solution could make their work easier.

  • Look beyond individual screens, finding the underlying problem and designing patterns that work across different flows and use cases.

  • Work side-by-side with designers and engineers, making trade-offs visible and ensuring design intent translates into the product.

  • Use critiques, reviews and short feedback loops to test ideas early and build shared understanding around design decisions.

  • Treat tooling, documentation and AI as part of the system, using them to make good design decisions easier to apply at scale.

Why you are doing this

  • To help product teams and designers make better decisions earlier, with more autonomy and less rework.

  • To make Aize feel more coherent, familiar and accessible, even as the product tackles complex problems.

  • To create a design system teams can trust and actually use, so the same problems don’t need to be solved from scratch again and again.

Team

This role is about more than one screen, flow, or team. You’ll help define the standards and system decisions that make Aize feel more coherent and easier to use.

You’ll work inside a dedicated design system team with a Product Manager, Software Development Manager, lead designer, engineers, and QA. The work is shaped by real product needs: where teams are blocked, where similar problems are being solved differently, and where a shared pattern can improve the experience.

Who we think you are

  • You’re a systems thinker, able to spot the bigger pattern behind individual design problems and create solutions that work beyond one screen.

  • You’ve worked on design systems where the hard part was not only creating components, but helping teams use shared patterns in complex product work.

  • You care about the details that build trust, from interaction and visual hierarchy to accessibility, edge cases, and consistency.

  • You’re a hands-on designer who understands implementation, comfortable moving between Figma, tokens, components, and conversations with engineers.

  • You’re collaborative and pragmatic, able to explain what should stay consistent, what can flex, and why.

  • You’re curious about better ways of working, including using AI where it genuinely improves the quality, speed, or clarity of your work.

Grounded, human, and unstoppable are the values that guide our day-to-day. If that aligns with how you like to work, we’d love to hear from you🚀
