Senior Product Designer

Work in the Product Development Engineering area, designing plastic components for automotive applications, as well as developing the components that make up the final product in order to define design specifications, materials, and product characteristics for suppliers, with a focus on new applications based on functional, durability, and assembly requirements according to specific customer needs.

Be responsible for the creation and evaluation of technical drawings, specification of materials for components and subassemblies, and maintenance of information within the MRP system, following company technical standards and other related activities.

Provide support and actively participate throughout all stages of product development and project execution.

Analyze and propose product design improvements together with the Product Engineering team, based on the interpretation of Finite Element Analysis (FEA) studies, including both linear and non-linear simulations, as well as Mold Flow analysis.

Control drawing revisions and ensure proper communication of updates to all impacted departments.

Ensure the creation and maintenance of Material Master Data and Bills of Materials (BOM) within the ERP system and other applicable systems.Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Manufacturing Technology or related fields;

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering is considered a plus;

Intermediate to advanced English skills, with daily use in conference calls and/or face-to-face interactions;

Advanced Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel;

Previous experience as a Product Designer, preferably within the automotive industry;

Previous experience using CATIA V5;

Knowledge of PLM Enovia is considered a plus;

Availability for occasional travel (not mandatory, but may be required);

Knowledge of the automotive industry and plastic product development.
