Senior Product Designer
Summary
Senior Product Designer at Luxclusif (Farfetch Group) in Porto, designing complex B2B internal platforms and back-office tools for the luxury resale business. Day to day: leading discovery and user research, driving design strategy, scaling the design system, and mentoring peer designers on data-heavy UX/UI.

Reporting to a Product Design Lead, you will play a key role in a multidisciplinary squad of designers, engineers, operational experts, and product managers, helping shape the future of our B2B internal platforms and back-office tools.
You will also set the bar for UX/UI craft and pattern design, enabling your team to craft intuitive, efficient, and cohesive experiences across complex, data-heavy systems. Working closely with cross-functional partners, you will resolve competing priorities, mentor peer designers, and translate ambiguous problems into scalable, high-density solutions that deliver value for both our operational teams and external business partners.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Collaborate across disciplines with product managers, engineers, and operational stakeholders to define complex problem spaces, resolve competing outcomes, and design solutions that drive business efficiency.
- Drive design strategy by evaluating goals, metrics, and outcomes to determine the best approach for long-term product evolution.
- Lead discovery activities by defining strategic research briefs, selecting appropriate methodologies, and leveraging insights to directly influence product direction.
- Navigate technical constraints effectively, partnering closely with engineering to align design decisions with backend realities, data models, and API structures.
- Facilitate workshops and strategic discussions, using rapid sketching, detailed wireframes, and interactive prototypes to align teams around complex business logic.
- Ensure holistic consistency in terminology and navigation across all internal and partner-facing tools, advocating for accessibility and high usability standards.
- Autonomously create, update, and scale pattern guidelines within our design system to ensure existing platform tools evolve gracefully and new features launch cohesively.
- Partner closely with engineering throughout implementation, delivering clear, unambiguous specs and identifying process improvements for seamless handoffs.
- Bring exceptional visual and interaction craft to data-dense interfaces, designing clear workflows, large-form structures, and polished UI micro-interactions.
- Set the bar for design quality at Luxclusif, serving as an example for others while mentoring and advising peer designers in best practices, new tools, and techniques.
- Operate with high autonomy, driving impactful output across domains with minimal oversight while keeping teams aligned with the strategic product roadmap.
- Monitor the impact of released solutions post-launch, using quantitative metrics and qualitative feedback to iterate continuously.
WHO YOU ARE
- You have 5 to 8+ years of experience working as a Product Designer within digital product teams, with a strong focus on complex B2B platforms, internal tools, or operational software.
- A formal degree isn't required, but your depth of knowledge is equivalent to a BA/BSc/MA in HCI, Information Systems, Computer Science, Graphic Design, or a related field.
- You possess excellent listening, verbal, and written communication skills in English, with a demonstrated ability to present, defend, and connect design decisions across multi-domain stakeholders.
- You foster an environment of continuous, constructive feedback and proactively mentor junior and mid-level designers to elevate overall team craft.
- You are a strong UI/UX designer with deep expertise in structuring ambiguous workflows, data-heavy interfaces, and multi-step operational logic.
- You demonstrate your process, solutions, and expected outcomes using a data-informed, evidence-based approach and structured research practices.
- You know how to select and develop the right prototyping methods to de-risk complex interactions and edge cases at the right time.
- You have working knowledge of and hands-on experience maintaining and scaling full-stack design systems across complex web applications.
- You have a solid technical understanding of web constraints, data models, and APIs, helping you design realistic and feasible solutions.
- You are comfortable leveraging modern design, prototyping, and AI-powered tools to increase the speed, quality, and scale of your output.
- You are able and willing to travel to other corporate offices when required.
- Having a basic working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript is a plus.
- Previous experience in pre-owned e-commerce, circular economy platforms, or resale operating systems is a plus.
