Senior Product Designer - Lending Ecosystem

About the Role :

We are looking for a Senior Product Designer to own and drive end-to-end design for our lending ecosystem. You will be responsible for creating delightful, customer-focused experiences that are simple, trusted, and human - including AI-powered experiences where AI enhances user judgment rather than replacing it.

This is a high-ownership, independent contributor role where you will lead design from discovery to delivery.

Roles & Responsibilities :

- End-to-End Product Design: Own the complete design lifecycle from understanding the problem, wireframing, user flows, high-fidelity UI, prototyping, to developer handoff and polished execution.

- User-Centric Discovery: Lead with empathy. Deeply understand user pain points, aspirations, and behaviors through research before jumping into solutions.

- Design for Complex Problems: Simplify complex business, risk, and policy constraints into creative, intuitive, and habit-forming UX solutions.

- AI as a Design Material: Design how AI shows up in the product - how it explains itself, builds trust, handles uncertainty, and supports users without overwhelming them. Strong awareness of ethical AI UX - trust, bias, and explainability.

- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Product, Business, Risk, Policy, Engineering and other cross-functional teams to align customer needs with business goals.

- Product Thinking: Translate product strategy into clear design deliverables and measurable outcomes. Identify customer aspirations and map them to business objectives.

- Design Excellence & Craft: Push the bar on UI craft, aesthetic sense, motion and interaction design. Follow Figma best practices and ensure world-class execution with frontend developers.

- Design Leadership: Take full responsibility for the design process. Demo work, defend design decisions with research, data, and competitive benchmarking, and continuously iterate.

Ideal Candidate Profile :

Must-Have :

- Experience: 5+ years of professional design experience with a proven track record of shipping world-class products. Last 3+ years must be in a Product Company (any industry - B2C / B2B).

- Full-Stack Designer: Truly hands-on across the stack: UX Research, UX Design, and UI. Can take projects from 0 to 1 and 1 to n with minimal supervision.

- Product Thinking & Discovery: Strong ability to break down product strategy, conduct discovery, and uncover real user pain points.

- Research Mindset: Hands-on experience with qualitative and quantitative research methods, heuristic evaluation, data-driven design, and consumer validation.

- End-to-End Execution: Expert in wireframing, user flows, prototyping, interaction/motion design, high-fidelity UI, and design-to-dev handoff.

- Collaboration & Communication: Experience working closely with Product and cross-functional teams. Ability to present, demo, and defend design decisions with rationale, research, and benchmarks.

- AI Curiosity: Genuinely curious and hands-on with AI as a design material - understanding how to design intelligent, explainable, and trusted experiences.

- Education: Graduation is mandatory. Formal education in Design is highly preferred.

- Portfolio: Must have a strong portfolio with detailed case studies hosted on Notion, Medium, or a personal website. Dribbble-only portfolios will not be considered.

- Stability: We value commitment. Candidates should have a stable career history with at least 1+ year in each company. One short transition is acceptable.

Preferred / Nice-to-Have :

- Domain experience in Fintech, Lending, or Financial Services

- Experience in a fast-paced startup environment

- Good understanding of front-end code / feasibility

- Awareness of ethical considerations in AI and financial product design
