Senior Product Designer (UI / Visual & Ownership)

Summary

Senior Product Designer builds polished, data-driven UI/UX for global volleyball analytics apps across web, mobile, and desktop, using Figma and design systems.

A quick heads-up to start!

If you sent us your CV in previous months, we definitely reviewed it. So far, we haven't decided to bring anyone on board, but we’ve drawn our conclusions and are now defining even more precisely the profile of the person we want to build our products with.

We’re not looking for a pure order taker. We’re looking for a mature partner with an eye for style and strong autonomy.

At Volleystation, we build volleyball data analytics software used by the world’s top volleyball leagues, clubs, and federations. Our web, mobile, and desktop apps need to run flawlessly and set the market standard in sports tech.

We’re looking for a Senior Product Designer who combines an exceptional sense of aesthetics, mature communication, and full ownership of their work.

You’re the right fit if:

  • You have at least 5 years of commercial experience, so your portfolio isn't 90% "concept" projects. Your work on Web, Desktop, and Mobile applications has seen the light of day and was successfully commercialized.

  • You know current UX/UI trends inside out and instantly spot what’s "from another era." You design modern, visually polished interfaces and interactive prototypes while keeping information architecture and complete user journeys in mind.

  • You’re fluent in Figma and Design Systems, you work with existing components, but also expand and scale UX/UI standards and maintain full visual consistency across the brand.

  • You set directions rather than just follow them; meaning you don't wait for "what the client wants" specs. You understand business goals, proactively initiate redesigns for struggling modules, and can soundly justify your design decisions.

  • You want to have a major impact on the interfaces and deliver end-to-end projects, collaborating closely with the frontend team during implementation and testing, but you are NOT looking for a management role.

  • You speak fluent English, as at Volleystation we build a global product and work in an international environment.

Our culture and everyday work

We’re a growing startup. You won’t find rigid procedures, multi-page specs, or endless email threads here. We work at an agile pace, closely with the dev team and in-house domain experts.

We’ll give you broad context, trust, fellow designers to bounce ideas off of, and the freedom to propose solutions. Your job will be to turn requirements and needs into polished interfaces, create interactive prototypes, and ensure faithful implementation alongside our developers.

What do we offer?

  • Real, direct impact on products used across the global sports market.

  • Opportunity to be a foundation member and play a key role in building and shaping a larger, creative team.

  • Flexible work model: remote, hybrid, or on-site in our office right in the heart of Warsaw (Plac Unii Lubelskiej).

  • Flexible working hours and no dress code.

  • Opportunities for growth and learning from an experienced team.

  • A passionate team where we value open communication and mutual support.

What does our recruitment process look like?

  1. Intro Call- a casual yet substantive online chat to check cultural fit and mutual expectations.

  2. Short Design Task (in Figma) - we’ll send a section of a website and ask for quick feedback and a swift redesign of selected modules. Here, we want to see your creative process, workflow, and aesthetic sense.

  3. Design Deep-Dive- we discuss your task submission and selected projects from your portfolio.

  4. *(optional) Paid Trial Task- if both sides need final confidence before joining forces after step 3, we’ll offer a short, paid trial task.

Please attach a portfolio of completed work to your submitted resume.
