Senior Product Designer

Role Summary

We're looking for a hands-on, outcome-driven Senior Product Designer to own the end-to-end experience for a product area — from discovery through interaction design, visual craft, and launch. You'll partner closely with Product and Engineering to turn ambiguous problems into polished, scalable solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Product Thinking & Discovery

● End-to-end ownership: own the design lifecycle for your product area, from problem discovery through engineering handoff and post-launch evaluation.

● Problem framing: go beyond stated requirements to understand users, Jobs to Be Done, business goals, and constraints — and challenge assumptions before designing solutions.

● Research & validation: run user interviews, usability testing, and other discovery methods to uncover needs and pain points.

● Solution exploration: explore multiple approaches, edge cases, and trade-offs before converging, and frame hypotheses to test.

● Impact & iteration: use product metrics and qualitative evidence to evaluate design impact and inform iteration.

Interaction, Visual Craft & Prototyping

● High-fidelity UI/UX: design user flows, information architecture, and production-ready interfaces for web and mobile.

● Data-dense workflows: architect dashboards and complex operational workflows that reduce cognitive load.

● Prototyping: build interactive prototypes to communicate interaction behaviors and component states.

● Edge cases: design for error states, empty states, loading patterns, and permissions.

● Iteration: respond well to critique and rapidly refine designs while holding a high quality bar. Design Systems & Scalability

● Design system contribution: help scale and govern a multi-platform design system (typography, spacing, grids, tokens).

● AI-assisted workflows: integrate AI design/workflow tools to speed up research, ideation, and documentation. Cross-Functional Execution

● Engineering partnership: work with front-end engineers through build and QA to ensure high-fidelity implementation.

● Specifications: maintain clear UI specs and documentation covering responsive breakpoints and component states.

● Stakeholder communication: present work confidently to executives and cross-functional partners, and stay open to technical trade-offs.

Qualifications & Requirements:

5+ years in Product or UX Design, or equivalent senior-level experience shipping digital products end-to- end.
● A portfolio demonstrating strong product thinking, from problem framing through polished, business- impacting solutions.
● Exceptional visual/UI craft: typography, layout, interaction design, and responsive design across breakpoints.
● Advanced Figma skills (variables, auto-layout, component architecture, prototyping).
● Hands-on experience contributing to and documenting design systems.
● Practical user research experience (interviews, usability testing, translating findings into iterations).
● Experience designing data-heavy applications or complex operational workflows.
● Solid grasp of front-end constraints and ability to collaborate pragmatically with engineers.
● Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently across teams.

Bonus Points

● Front-end coding or functional prototyping experience (HTML/CSS, React, or React Native).
● Fintech, payments, loyalty, or regulatory-heavy SaaS design experience.
● Motion design, micro-interactions, Lottie, or 3D asset experience.
● Experience creating public-facing reports, infographics, or product-marketing collateral.
