Senior Product Manager (Data product Delivery)
Summary
Leads the delivery of a global cloud-based Customer Data and Insights Platform, defining reporting, APIs, and data access to turn raw data into scalable customer-facing products.
emagine is looking for a Senior Product Manager with experience of building data/API products before, not a generalist stepping into data for the first time.
Start: 2026-09-01
End: 2027-08-31
Location: Stockholm, 2-3 days/week at the office
The client generates massive volumes of communication data but customers struggle to access, understand, and use it consistently across products. This role builds a global, cloud-based Customer Data and Insights Platform, turning internal technical data capabilities into scalable, customer-facing value. The PM sits at a central hub, working across other product line teams, analytics groups, customer-facing API units, and data platform teams.
Key Responsibilities
Phase 1 (next 6-12 months): Foundational Reporting & Data Access
Define and deliver reporting and data access across three layers: web-UI dashboards, public APIs/developer pipelines/MCP/skills, and file-based exports plus direct warehouse integrations
Establish standardised, repeatable patterns for metrics, data models, and access control, avoiding one-off regional builds
Product Enablement & Standardisation
Act as the data-consumption expert, guiding domain-owning product teams (who aren't data-insights specialists) on how customers consume data and how to onboard datasets consistently
Bridge internal data capabilities and customer-facing value, driving platform adoption across product lines
Insights & Intelligence Evolution
Partner with analytics, design, and data teams to evolve the platform from foundational reporting toward proactive insights, alerts, and AI-driven recommendations
Must-Have Skills (Non-Negotiable)
5+ years PM experience on data platforms, data products, developer APIs, or enterprise reporting - with a proven track record turning raw data models into customer-facing products
Senior stakeholder management: driving alignment across matrixed orgs, negotiating prioritisation, shared metrics, and data contracts with multiple product-line leaders and engineering teams
Autonomous team leadership: strong direct experience leading engineering teams, since the Engineering Manager isn't embedded day-to-day - high autonomy and process-driven problem-solving are essential
Nice-to-Have Skills
Exposure to AI/ML, analytics platforms, or observability tools (working alongside the team's dedicated AI PM)
Familiarity with modern cloud data warehouses (BigQuery, Snowflake, Redshift) and data access patterns
Hands-on infrastructure knowledge, including command-line direction or scripting (e.g. PowerShell)
Soft Skills & Profile Fit
Platform-and-enablement mindset (builds systems and templates other teams can adopt), pragmatic "get-stuff-done" execution that breaks a large platform vision into shippable increments, and high comfort operating autonomously in a newly formed team.
