Senior Product Manager (Fire Alarm Systems)
Summary
Owns the fire alarm hardware product line across six overseas regions from a Singapore base — setting 3-year strategy and roadmaps, writing MRD/PRD, coordinating China-based R&D and factories, driving certifications (EN 54, UL/FM, LPCB/VdS), mass-production readiness, and go-to-market.
About the role
A product line owner responsible for planning and managing the fire alarm portfolio across six overseas regions, driving product strategy, demand management, R&D collaboration, certification, mass-production readiness, go-to-market, and continuous improvement, while building product management processes within the Overseas Product & Data Department.
Key responsibilities
Own the fire alarm product line across six overseas regions (Southeast Asia, Middle East, South Asia, South America, Africa, and Europe/Central Asia), developing three-year plans and annual roadmaps based on market research, standards, application scenarios, and competitor intelligence. Define the product portfolio and positioning by system type, controller capacity, detector type, and regional versions, while managing the full lifecycle including NPI, iteration, phase-out, and backward compatibility.
Establish a unified demand pool, convert market needs into MRD/PRD, and lead project initiation with feasibility, cost, certification, and ROI assessment for approval
Collaborate closely with domestic R&D on requirement baselines, milestone tracking, stage reviews, and real-scenario validation, including standard fire tests and environmental testing
Drive certification planning and execution (EN 54/CPR, UL/FM, LPCB/VdS, ISO 7240, and local approvals), ensuring certificates are obtained before launch and maintained thereafter
Coordinate with domestic factories on mass-production readiness, cost and margin tracking, supply risk, and certification-related factory audits
Support go-to-market activities, including launch planning, pricing and channel recommendations, sales enablement, training, and key bid support
Close the loop on field issues through root-cause analysis and corrective actions, escalate life-safety risks, and maintain a product issue library to feed continuous improvement
Contribute to building product management processes, templates, and review mechanisms as a product line lead within the Overseas Product & Data Department
