Senior Product Manager

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Product Manager based in United States.

This role offers the opportunity to own the core platforms and data foundations that power critical pricing, risk, and AI capabilities across the insurance lifecycle.
You will shape product strategy while remaining deeply involved in execution, deciding what gets built, why it matters, and how success is measured.
Working closely with Engineering, Data Science, Actuarial, underwriting, and go-to-market teams, you will connect complex technical systems to meaningful business outcomes.
You will engage directly with customers, brokers, and underwriters to uncover high-value problems and translate their needs into focused product priorities.
The role combines quantitative problem-solving, technical decision-making, customer discovery, and cross-functional leadership in a fast-moving environment.
You will help establish a durable data advantage while expanding product capabilities from pricing into broader areas of the insurance platform.
This is an opportunity to build high-impact products where data, models, technology, and commercial performance intersect.

Accountabilities

  • Own the product roadmap and execution, determining priorities, sequencing initiatives, and ensuring products and features move from concept through successful delivery.
  • Engage directly with customers, brokers, and underwriters to understand their needs, identify valuable problems, and prioritize opportunities with meaningful business impact.
  • Define product direction for Engineering, Data Science, Actuarial, and go-to-market teams, ensuring the full chain remains connected from underlying data and models through to pricing and underwriting decisions.
  • Develop and communicate the longer-term product vision, initially focused on pricing and expanding into additional areas of the product portfolio.
  • Translate complex data, technical, and business considerations into clear product decisions and actionable requirements.
  • Use quantitative analysis and product performance data to identify issues, investigate anomalies, and guide prioritization and product improvements.
  • Build strong partnerships with technical teams and contribute to sound decisions involving data systems, models, APIs, and product architecture.
  • Lead cross-functional teams toward ambitious delivery timelines while maintaining accountability for outcomes.
  • Operate with a strong ownership mindset, taking responsibility for products end-to-end and navigating challenges across data, models, systems, and business processes.
  • Requirements

    • 4–7 years of experience in Product Management or an equivalent product-focused role, with experience taking products or significant features from concept to launch.
    • Experience shipping 0-to-1 products is highly valued, particularly in complex technical or data-driven environments.
    • Strong quantitative and analytical skills, with the ability to work comfortably with data, identify anomalies, investigate root causes, and use evidence to make product decisions.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present to customers and explain complex technical or business decisions clearly to audiences such as underwriting teams.
    • Strong technical credibility and the ability to collaborate effectively with Engineering and Data Science teams, understand their work, and make informed technical decisions.
    • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and deliver products or features against aggressive timelines.
    • Strong bias toward action, with a willingness to work hands-on, solve problems directly, and move initiatives forward in ambiguous situations.
    • Demonstrated ownership mentality and accountability for outcomes across the full product lifecycle.
    • Experience working successfully in a high-growth, dynamic startup or similarly fast-paced environment.
    • Undergraduate degree in a technical discipline such as Computer Science or Engineering is preferred; a Master's degree, PhD, or MBA is a plus.
    • Experience building products where pricing or risk models directly influence revenue, particularly in insurance, lending, marketplaces, or related industries, is preferred.
    • B2B or fintech experience is an advantage.
    • Benefits

      • Estimated base salary range of $155,000–$220,000, depending on location, experience, skills, qualifications, and assessed level.
      • Equity for full-time employees, providing additional overall compensation beyond the stated salary range.
      • 100% employer-paid medical, dental, and vision insurance.
      • 401(k) plan with up to a 4% company match.
      • Unlimited paid time off.
      • Paid parental leave.
      • Wellness reimbursement.
