About the role
Hex is looking for a Senior Product Manager, Monetization to join our Growth & Monetization group. Your role will require deeply understanding our users, buyers, internal systems, and market dynamics, to develop elegant pricing structures, billing systems, and user experiences that scale smoothly and drive growth. You’ll sit within a Product, Engineering and Design pod and collaborate closely with Sales, Marketing, and Data.
This is a full-time role based out of either of our New York, NY or San Francisco, CA offices.
What you will do:
- Build a clear and cohesive monetization journey: Ensure a clear and compelling user experience from evaluation to purchase and expansion. Own core product experiences as well as ancillary experiences like pricing calculators or guides for agents and humans.
- Monetize new products and features: Work with product managers and engineers to design pricing and packaging structures that fit how data leaders actually want to buy.
- Drive bigger monetization bets: Proactively identify and drive bigger company-wide monetization projects, such as credit model innovation for new products, or internationalization.
- Build billing systems and infrastructure to anticipate and remove scalability bottlenecks, enable faster pricing experimentation, and smooth rollout to customers.
About You:
- Monetization expertise: You have 5+ years experience working on pricing, billing systems, monetization, or related AI products.
- Execution: You scope to outcomes, ship quickly, and minimize time-to-learning. You excel in turning ambiguity into clarity that helps drive initiatives forward.
- Communication & influence: You can build trust to get things done. You’re great at distilling complexity into clear comms, and getting cross-functional teams aligned.
- Technical depth: You’ve been an engineer or product manager on an infrastructure or AI product, and understand how pricing intersects with product architecture and agentic workflows.
- Customer obsessed: You talk with customers regularly to understand their needs. You care about business fundamentals but prioritize what’s right for customers.
Bonus points if you have:
- Experience building and iterating on monetization models for application-layer AI products.
- Background working on data tools, developer tools, or data analytics.

The salary range for this role is: $189,000 - $236,000.
The salary range shown may be a reflection of additional factors such as geographical location and skill ranges/levels we’re open to. Placement in the salary range will be decided upon completion of the interview process, taking into account factors like leaving room for growth, internal fairness & parity, your demonstrated skills, and the depth of your experience.
