Senior Product Manager
Who We Are
Neighborly Software was built to help communities make a difference in the lives of low-income families and vulnerable populations. Our mission is simple, “Helping Communities, Help People.”
Headquartered in Atlanta, GA we offer a cloud-based technology platform for the administration and disbursement of governments funds for programs such as Housing, Economic, Community Development, Disaster Recovery/MIT, Home Energy Rebate Programs, and Housing Choice Voucher programs.
Role Overview
The Senior Product Manager plays a critical role in shaping the product vision and strategy for the cloud-based technology platform at Neighborly Software, a platform that is transforming the administration of affordable housing and community development programs. As a Senior Product Manager (SPM), you will own the end-to-end product lifecycle for your areas of the platform — from discovery and definition through launch, adoption, and iteration — with particular focus on the financial operations, and platform scalability capabilities our customers depend on. The role requires strategic thinking, data-driven decision-making, and the ability to influence and align senior leaders and cross-functional partners without direct authority. The SPM drives product roadmaps and collaborates closely with stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery and launch of high-impact products that drive customer satisfaction and business growth and is expected to use AI tools fluently to work faster and think more sharply.
Key Responsibilities:
Own the end-to-end product lifecycle for assigned areas of the platform — discovery, definition, prioritization, delivery, launch, and post-launch iteration.
Define the long-term product vision and lead roadmap planning for your areas, ensuring both address customer needs, the competitive landscape, and technological advancements.
Partner with the Product Lead and senior leadership to align product initiatives with company strategy, and clearly communicate priorities, trade-offs, risks, and progress to executive stakeholders.
Drive the roadmap for platform workflows — budgeting, disbursements, invoicing, reconciliation, and financial reporting — ensuring accuracy, auditability, and compliance with funder and regulatory requirements.
Partner with engineering on platform scalability, performance, and integration decisions, so the platform grows with increases in customer volume, data, and program complexity.
Use AI tools in the day-to-day practice of product management — research synthesis, requirements and documentation drafting, data analysis, competitive scanning, and rapid prototyping — and identify where AI can create durable value for customers within the product.
Run continuous discovery — regular customer interviews, site visits, and win/loss conversations — and translate what you hear into validated problems, prioritized bets, and measurable customer value.
artner with Customer Success to track adoption, engagement drop-off, and at-risk accounts. Translate those signals into platform improvements that reduce churn before it happens.
Own uptime, latency, and scalability metrics as product outcomes — not just engineering concerns. Define SLAs and work with engineering to hit them.
Own and optimize cross-module workflows, ensuring customers can execute end-to-end processes seamlessly across the platform without friction, data inconsistencies, or broken handoffs between modules.
Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to develop go-to-market strategies, positioning, and pricing.
Drive the successful execution of product development from concept to launch, orchestrating multiple features in flight at once and sequencing dependencies across engineering, design, and go-to-market teams so timelines hold and product quality stays high.
Analyze product performance metrics and conduct market research to identify new market opportunities and threats.
Performs other duties as required.
Required Qualifications:
5+ years of product management or relevant experience with SaaS products.
Demonstrated experience running the end-to-end product lifecycle, from discovery and definition through launch and post-launch iteration.
Strong interest in customer value and interview-based discovery, with hands-on experience talking directly to users and turning qualitative insight into product direction.
Experience supporting platform scaling — growth in users, data volume, integrations, or functional complexity — and the product decisions that come with it.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively with senior leaders and executive stakeholders, influencing without authority and communicating clearly across technical and non-technical audiences.
Working fluency with AI tools and a demonstrated ability to apply them to product work, along with a point of view on where AI creates real value for customers.
Proven track record of successful product launches, having led innovative products from concept through go-to-market and measured adoption.
Experience with product analytics — instrumenting products, defining success metrics, and using quantitative data to evaluate performance and guide decisions.
Demonstrated ability to orchestrate multiple features and initiatives running in parallel, managing dependencies, competing priorities, and shifting timelines across several teams at once.
Proficiency in product management methodologies, agile practices, and product management tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence).
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in business, Engineering, Computer Science or related functions.
Familiarity with APIs and system integrations, and comfort partnering with engineering on integration-related product decisions.
Experience in govtech, public sector, affordable housing, community development, or grant management software.
Experience with financial, payment, or transaction-based product domains (for example budgeting, disbursements, invoicing, reconciliation, or accounting workflows).
Tech startup experience.
Agile Certification.
