Senior Product Manager — Remix Platform
Summary
Senior Product Manager owning Via's Remix transit planning and scheduling platform — setting the multi-year platform roadmap, improving usability and scalability, and driving AI-led insights for transit agencies. Day to day: prioritizing features, partnering with engineering, design, and data science, and engaging directly with agency customers.
Via is on a mission to create public transportation systems that provide far greater access to jobs, healthcare, and education. Our platform serves as the technology backbone for modern transit networks, transforming antiquated and siloed public transportation systems into smart, data-driven, and efficient digital networks. With hundreds of agency partners around the world, Via is recognized as the leading transportation technology and service provider globally.
About this role:
Remix is Via's premier transit planning and scheduling platform, trusted by agencies worldwide to design networks, model scenarios, and optimize service. We're looking for a Senior Product Manager to own the Remix platform itself — its usability, scalability, and flexibility — ensuring Remix remains the most powerful and intuitive tool available to transit professionals globally.
This role sits at the center of everything Remix does. You will own the platform foundation that every module is built on, champion AI-led insights that help agencies design better service and measure real performance, and maintain the end-to-end view from planning through operations and back — ensuring data flows in ways that make each step smarter than the last. You are equally comfortable setting long-term platform direction and rolling up your sleeves to sharpen individual features and make each module best in class.
What you'll do:
- Own the Remix platform roadmap — usability, scalability, flexibility, and the cross-cutting capabilities that every module depends on
- Define and drive the vision for AI-led insights within Remix, enabling transit agencies to make data-informed decisions about service design, network performance, and operational efficiency
- Hold the end-to-end product view: from network planning through scheduling and live operations, and back into planning via performance data — ensuring the platform is a continuous feedback loop, not a collection of disconnected tools
- Identify and prioritize vertical feature investments across Remix modules, with the rigor to make each one best in class rather than broadly adequate
- Partner with engineering and design to raise the bar on platform usability — reducing friction for planners, schedulers, and analysts without sacrificing the depth power users depend on
- Work closely with data science and engineering to define how AI and analytics capabilities are surfaced in the product — what insights matter, when they appear, and how they drive action
- Engage directly with customers to understand workflow pain points, validate priorities, and pressure-test the roadmap against real operational needs
- Stay current on industry trends, competitive products, and emerging technology to ensure Remix leads rather than follows
Who you are:
- You have 5+ years of product management experience, including ownership of platform or infrastructure-layer products used in complex enterprise workflows
- You are a big-picture thinker who can articulate a multi-year platform vision while also making sharp, well-reasoned prioritization calls at the feature level
- You have strong instincts for usability and product quality — you notice when something is harder than it needs to be, and you know how to fix it without breaking what works
- You understand how AI and data products actually work in practice, and you have experience defining how analytical insights should be integrated into operational workflows in ways users trust and act on
- You can quickly become technically fluent in the underlying data models and entities that power planning and scheduling systems, and you are a credible voice in technical architecture decisions alongside your engineering partners — capable of evaluating tradeoffs and advocating for platform choices that serve both current needs and long-term scalability
- You have a track record of shipping high-quality features in complex, workflow-heavy enterprise environments where precision and reliability matter
- You are collaborative, direct, and effective at building alignment across engineering, design, data science, and go-to-market partners
- Experience in transportation, transit, logistics, or resource-intensive industries is a plus; the ability to learn a technical domain quickly is essential
Compensation and Benefits:
- Base salary range: $150,000-$200,000, determined by experience and skills. Total compensation also includes variable pay and equity.
- Comprehensive health coverage, with low-cost dental and vision plans.
- A 401(k) with a generous company match and vesting.
- Fully paid parental leave for new parents, with extended leave options.
- Additional benefits (mental health, pet insurance, and other wellness perks).
- 20 days of paid time off (PTO) annually.
There has never been a more exciting time to be on the cutting edge of public mobility.
