About the role

We’re looking for a Senior Product Manager to own our sports product and turn Chartmetric’s data and AI capabilities into something sports marketers, agencies, teams, and brands can’t work without.

Working closely with our CPO, our data engineering and product teams, and our go-to-market leads, you’ll decide what we build for sports, why, and in what order. You’ll be accountable for whether the product earns real usage and revenue.

This is a builder role. You’ll be close to the data and the customers, prototype ideas yourself when it’s faster than writing a spec, and stay involved from discovery through launch and iteration.

You won’t need to know our music business. You will need a sharp sense of how sports fandom, audiences, and marketing work, and the judgment to tell a real customer need from noise.

What you'll do

Own the sports product. Set the vision, strategy, and roadmap for our sports offering. Decide which customers we serve first, which problems we solve, and what we say no to.

Turn signals into customer insight. Synthesize what you learn from customer calls, sales conversations, support tickets, product usage, churn, market trends, and competitor moves. Separate what customers say from what they actually need, and use that to make clear product bets.

Build products around fandom and audience. Shape how we measure and surface athlete, team, and league audiences, fan engagement, social growth, and brand affinity in ways that drive real decisions for sports marketers and partners.

Vibe-code your ideas into working prototypes. Use AI coding tools like Cursor, Claude Code, Replit, or Lovable to build functional prototypes, internal tools, and demos yourself. Put real, clickable products in front of customers and engineers instead of static specs, and validate ideas before committing the team to them.

Work deep in the data. Write SQL, explore datasets, and build your own analyses and dashboards to understand sports audiences, fan behavior, and product usage. Partner with data engineering on what we collect and how it’s modeled, define product metrics, and spot when a number doesn’t add up.

Validate with the market. Run discovery with teams, agencies, brands, and athlete representatives. Get early versions in front of customers, measure adoption, and adjust fast.

Partner with go-to-market. Work with sales and marketing on positioning, pricing, packaging, and launches. Help the team understand who buys, why, and what wins deals.

Connect product to the business. Define the metrics that matter, report on progress and risks, and help leadership understand where sports can grow and what it will take.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years in product management
  • SQL
  • Workflow Automation (with python, vibe-coding etc)
  • Web Apps
  • Data Visualization

You should apply if: You’re a builder. You have 5+ years in product management and can point to products you took from idea to real adoption. You’re comfortable prototyping, querying data, and using AI tools to move faster instead of waiting on others.

You have strong judgment about customers. You pull insight from many sources, including interviews, usage data, sales feedback, market research, and industry trends, and you know how to weigh conflicting signals. You can explain why you believe something, and you change your mind when the evidence does.

You know sports. You’ve built or managed products in sports, ideally around sports marketing, sponsorship, audience analytics, fan engagement, or fandom. You understand how teams, leagues, athletes, agencies, and brands think about audiences and measure value.

You’re comfortable with data. You can work with analytics and engineering teams on how data is collected and modeled, write SQL or work with someone who does, and recognize when a number doesn’t make sense.

You’re comfortable in a lean company where product leaders stay close to the work. Experience with data or analytics products, B2B SaaS, social and audience data, or AI-native products is a plus. Music-industry experience is not required.
