Senior Product Manager
Summary
Senior Product Manager at Tekion in Bangalore owning integration patterns on its automotive retail platform: defining integration quality metrics, shifting to AI-assisted delivery via APC Studio, driving OEM certifications, and raising dealer adoption while partnering with Engineering, Design, Support, and GTM. Core focus: APIs, integrations, data-driven PM, and AI tooling.
About Tekion:
Positively disrupting an industry that has not seen any innovation in over 50 years, Tekion has challenged the paradigm with the first and fastest cloud-native automotive platform that includes the revolutionary Automotive Retail Cloud (ARC) for retailers, Automotive Enterprise Cloud (AEC) for manufacturers and other large automotive enterprises and Automotive Partner Cloud (APC) for technology and industry partners. Tekion connects the entire spectrum of the automotive retail ecosystem through one seamless platform. The transformative platform uses cutting-edge technology, big data, machine learning, and AI to seamlessly bring together OEMs, retailers/dealers and consumers. With its highly configurable integration and greater customer engagement capabilities, Tekion is enabling the best automotive retail experiences ever. Tekion employs close to 3,000 people across North America, Asia and Europe.
What You’ll Do
• Keep your integrations healthy and best-in-class: Define what “good” looks like for your integration pattern, measure it in our Integration Platform (Tekion’s internal health-monitoring system), and drive coverage, reliability, and quality up across all your integrations - benchmarking each against the best competing product in the market.
• Win on AI-powered delivery: Shift your pattern from hand-built integrations toward ones generated with Tekion’s AI-assisted build tools (internally, APC Studio), help sharpen the AI tools you depend on, and own a complete, living set of requirements that any engineering team can build from.
• Drive revenue through OEM certifications: Lead integration patterns toward successful OEM certification so OEM-approved integrations can be adopted by dealers at scale. Drive adoption and reduce support load: Make your integrations easy to install and switch on, raise dealership uptake where it is low, and reduce support tickets by tracking and fixing root causes.
• Partner across teams: Translate the needs of dealers, automakers, and partners into clear requirements, and work day-to-day with Engineering, Design, Support, and Go-to-Market teams to deliver, launch, and measure impact.
What We’re Looking For
• Around 5+ years of product management experience, or equivalent experience in a technical product, integration, API, or platform role. Strong early-career candidates with a technical background are encouraged to apply.
• Exposure to integrations, APIs, or platform and marketplace products, with the ability to read technical documentation and discuss APIs, webhooks, and data flows with engineers. (An API is a defined way for two systems to exchange data; a webhook is an automatic notification one system sends another when something happens. You do not need to write code.)
• A strong bias toward measurable outcomes, with comfort using dashboards, metrics, and data to set targets and track progress.
• Clear writing skills - the ability to turn messy, ambiguous requirements into crisp specifications and user stories. • Curiosity about AI and how it can automate technical work, plus the drive to improve the tools you use.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work with both technical and non-technical audiences.
• The ability to manage ambiguity, prioritize effectively, and make thoughtful trade-offs in a fast-paced environment.
• A bachelor’s degree in business, computer science, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Nice to Have
• Interest in or exposure to AI agents, large language models (LLMs), and automated workflows.
• Familiarity with the automotive retail world - dealerships, the Dealer Management System (DMS, the core software a dealership runs its business on), or automaker (OEM) certification programs.
Why Join Us
• Modernize an industry: Help modernize how an entire industry connects its software, moving from slow, hand-built integrations to a fast, AI-powered delivery model.
• Work at the frontier of AI delivery: Be hands-on with how AI is used to scope, build, and test real enterprise integrations.
• See measurable impact: Own clear, measurable goals and watch your work show up directly in integration health, adoption, and support metrics.
• Grow with mentorship: Learn from senior product managers and engineers, with a clear path to grow into broader ownership.
