About the Role

As a Senior Product Manager, you will operate at the intersection of business, technology and user experience.

Working closely with product designers, engineers, customers and stakeholders, you will lead product discovery and delivery activities to build products that customers love while supporting Transmax's strategic objectives.

This is an individual contributor role that requires strong stakeholder engagement, influence and collaboration skills to drive successful product outcomes across the business.

What You’ll Do

Product Management

  • Engage directly with customers to understand their needs and ensure solutions solve meaningful problems.
  • Lead product discovery, experimentation and validation activities to test and refine product ideas.
  • Partner with Product Designers and Engineers to deliver valuable, usable, feasible and viable solutions.
  • Develop and execute product strategies, roadmaps and priorities aligned to company objectives.
  • Use Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) to connect product delivery with strategic outcomes.
  • Drive the product vision and champion Product Management best practices across the organisation.
  • Prioritise features and initiatives based on customer value, business impact, feasibility and usability.
  • Coordinate go-to-market activities for new products and features.
  • Monitor product performance through analytics and data-driven decision making.
  • Conduct market and competitor research to identify opportunities and points of differentiation.
  • Identify product gaps and opportunities that grow market share and enhance customer experience.
  • Contribute to business cases supporting strategic product investment and innovation.

Research & Development

  • Investigate emerging technologies and trends relevant to the ITS industry.
  • Maintain research and development records supporting annual R&D tax incentive requirements.

What You'll Bring

You are a customer-focused Product Manager who enjoys solving complex problems and working across commercial, operational and technical environments.

You have a strong understanding of multiple product management frameworks and the ability to select the right tool for the right situation.

You can confidently influence stakeholders, thrive in ambiguity, and balance strategic thinking with practical delivery.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Tertiary qualification in Business, Marketing, Technology or equivalent industry experience.
  • 4+ years' experience managing technology-enabled products.
  • Experience applying modern product discovery and delivery methodologies.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
  • Ability to develop solutions in complex and ambiguous environments.
  • Experience collaborating effectively with engineers, designers and business leaders.
  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills.

Highly Desirable

  • Experience working with ICT products within specialist industry environments.
  • Familiarity with Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) concepts and terminology.
  • Experience working in B2B commercial environments.
  • Experience using Productboard, Jira and Confluence.
  • Ability to travel occasionally to customer sites and industry events (up to five interstate trips annually).
