Summary
Contract Senior Product Manager (Sept 2026–Mar 2027, ~152 business days) placed by Upstaff with Ontario's Government Services Integration Cluster, working 100% onsite at 222 Jarvis Street, Toronto. - Own product planning and execution throughout the complete product lifecycle.
- Gather, analyze, and prioritize product and customer requirements.
- Define and communicate the product vision.
- Ensure products support the organization's overall strategy and goals.
- Develop a deep understanding of the customer experience and customer needs.
- Identify product gaps and opportunities for improvement.
- Generate new product ideas and opportunities that can support growth and market share.
- Develop strategies to improve customer experience and drive product adoption and growth.
- Build internal and external buy-in for the product vision.
- Develop product pricing and positioning strategies where applicable.
- Translate product strategy into detailed requirements, product documentation, and prototypes.
- Scope and prioritize activities based on business impact and customer impact.
- Work closely with engineering and technical teams to deliver products efficiently, achieve quick time-to-market, and optimize available resources.
- Drive product launches, coordinating with public relations, executives, product management teams, technical teams, and other stakeholders.
- Evaluate promotional and communications plans to ensure alignment with product-line strategy and that product messaging is effectively conveyed.
- Act as a product evangelist, building awareness and understanding of products among stakeholders and customers.
- Represent the organization when engaging with customers to solicit feedback regarding products and services.
- Manage competing priorities while ensuring deliverables are completed within established timelines.
- Establish and maintain effective relationships with clients, stakeholders, technical teams, external partners, and other project participants.
Requirements
- Experience delivering Market Requirements Documents (MRDs) and Product Requirements Documents (PRDs).
- Experience developing MRDs/PRDs containing prioritized features and corresponding business justification.
- Experience working with external third parties to assess partnership and licensing opportunities.
- Experience planning and executing beta and pilot programs for early-stage products.
- Experience working with early-stage products and samples and developing a strong understanding of the competitive landscape.
- Strong ability to work as a team player in complex environments.
- Demonstrated track record of meeting deadlines.
- Ability to effectively manage competing priorities.
- Demonstrated client relationship management experience.
- Strong product planning, product strategy, requirements gathering, prioritization, stakeholder management, and product lifecycle management capabilities.
