Senior Production Manager

NPNA has partnered with a client on their search for a Senior Production Manager to lead production execution and strengthen operational performance at their manufacturing site.

We are looking for a hands-on manufacturing leader with strong experience managing multi-shift operations, developing front-line leadership teams, and driving improvements across production, maintenance, reliability, and continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working closely with Supervisors, Team Leads, and Operators, while also partnering cross-functionally with Quality, Engineering, Supply Chain, Finance, HR, and EHS. The role requires someone who can bring greater structure, accountability, and consistency to the day-to-day operation.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead daily production execution across all shifts, ensuring safety, schedule attainment, throughput, labor productivity, and operational discipline.
• Develop Supervisors and Team Leads, strengthening accountability, decision-making, and execution at each leadership level.
• Drive OEE, standard work, 5S, problem solving, flow, changeover improvement, and waste reduction.
• Oversee maintenance priorities and asset reliability, including preventive maintenance, breakdown response, equipment uptime, MTTR, MTBF, and root-cause closure.
• Ensure strong daily management routines, visible KPIs, clear ownership, and timely follow-up of operational issues.
• Manage labor and maintenance spending while supporting capacity planning, budgets, forecasts, and productivity initiatives.
• Partner with Quality, Engineering, Supply Chain, Finance, HR, and EHS to support plant performance and customer requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Manufacturing, Plastics Engineering, or a related field.
• 10+ years in manufacturing operations, including at least 5 years in leadership or management roles.
• Strong experience managing production performance and maintenance or asset reliability.
• Demonstrated experience improving OEE, throughput, labor productivity, standard work, and daily accountability.
• Experience leading organizations through Supervisors and Team Leads.
• Experience working in structured quality environments and supporting audits.
• Professional fluency in Spanish and English.

Preferred Experience

• IMMEX, maquiladora, export manufacturing, or cross-border operations.
• Plastics processing, molding, assembly, or other equipment-intensive manufacturing environments.
• CMMS, ERP, and production data systems.
• Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, TPM, or structured problem-solving methodologies.
