Senior Program Manager

Your Mission:

As the company scales, strong execution across teams becomes increasingly critical. This role will play a key part in ensuring we can deliver complex initiatives effectively while maintaining speed and focus.

We are hiring a senior Program Manager to drive execution across complex, cross-functional initiatives. This is a high-impact role where you will work across Product, Engineering, Design, and Go-To-Market teams to ensure critical programs are clearly defined, well-coordinated, and successfully delivered. This is not a process-heavy role. Success comes from bringing clarity, driving accountability, and helping teams navigate complexity.

As one of the first Program Managers in the product organization, you will also help shape how program management operates at AfterShip.

What You’ll Do:

1. Drive Complex Cross-Functional Programs (≈80%): Lead high-impact initiatives that span multiple teams across Product, Engineering, and GTM.

- Own end-to-end program delivery and outcomes;

- Define program structure: goals, scope, timeline, dependencies, and success metrics;

- Drive clarity on who is responsible for what (RACI);

- Align stakeholders across functions and levels, including leadership;

- Identify risks early and proactively drive resolution;

- Ensure teams stay accountable and unblocked;

You are not just tracking progress. You are responsible for ensuring the program succeeds.

2. Create and Improve How We Work (≈10%): Design lightweight, effective processes that help teams move faster.

- Introduce structure where needed, without slowing teams down;

- Identify inefficiencies and remove or simplify processes;

- Scale what works, sunset what doesn’t;

- Enable teams to operate with more autonomy and clarity.

3. Operationalize Strategic Planning (≈10%): Partner with Product and GTM leadership to improve planning and execution.

- Help translate strategy into executable plans;

- Drive alignment between product initiatives and company goals;

- Ensure visibility into progress, tradeoffs, and outcomes;

- Reinforce accountability across teams.

Who We're Looking For:

1. 8+ years of program management or related experience, with a strong track record of driving complex initiatives in close partnership with Product and Engineering teams. Experience in SaaS or eCommerce environments is a plus;

2. Proven ability to lead large, complex, multi-team programs in fast-paced environments, coordinating across functions and ensuring successful delivery against shared goals;

3. Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the ability to build alignment and drive decisions across teams without formal authority;

4. Ability to work seamlessly across both the detail level (product, systems, and dependencies) and the strategic level, shaping priorities, navigating trade-offs, and driving business impact;

5. Exceptional ability to bring clarity to ambiguity, translating complex or abstract ideas into structured plans, clear priorities, and actionable execution for large cross-functional teams;

6. Outcome-driven and adaptable, focusing on delivering meaningful business impact while applying processes pragmatically rather than rigidly;

7. Highly accountable and collaborative, able to drive results while building strong trust and effective partnerships across teams.
