Senior Program Manager - Business Strategy, Amazon Maintenance Operation Center (AMOC)
Description
Join us in the Amazon Reliability Maintenance Engineering (RME) team, within the Amazon Maintenance Operations Center International (AMOC INTL), a 24/7/365 centralized remote maintenance function serving field RME teams across 845+ buildings so they can focus on hands-on maintenance.
Purpose of job
We are seeking a seasoned Strategy & Business Operations Manager to own the strategy, planning, and rhythm-of-business that enables AMOC INTL to scale its four service pillars across EU, India, LATAM, Australia, and new markets.:
- Refrigeration & Building Maintenance (BBM/RBM)
- Planned & Compliance Maintenance (PPM)
- Purchase-to-Pay (P2P)
- Electric Vehicle Charging (EVC)
This is an individual contributor role operating at organizational scope. The successful candidate sets strategy and standards across the entire AMOC INTL organization, partnering with pillar leaders and regional hubs rather than managing a team. They will own the multi-year planning cadence, the single source of truth for AMOC data, and the expansion workstreams into new countries, removing the internal silos that naturally form in a multi-service organization of AMOC's scale and ensuring the organization plans ahead of demand rather than reacting to it. The role carries influence across the full International organization and its leadership, shaping decisions that span pillars, regions, and multi-year horizons.
Key job responsibilities
- Organization-wide strategy and planning. Own AMOC INTL's strategy and planning rhythm end-to-end (SPS/3YP, OP1/OP2, goal setting) across all four pillars and regions, translating leadership direction into structured multi-year plans and roadmaps. This includes owning the organization's recurring narratives, MBRs, leadership reviews, and executive-ready documents on a predictable cadence that holds the whole organization to a single planning heartbeat.
- Country and market expansion. Drive expansion into new countries (e.g. India, Middle East, South Africa) alongside the RP3 Senior Team Lead, productizing a repeatable country-launch model (workload baseline, vendor onboarding, SOP templates, HC gearing, go-live checklist) so growth scales without scaling effort linearly.
- Data ownership and single source of truth. Own the definitions and governance of AMOC's cross-pillar data layer: a unified vocabulary (work order, autonomous resolution, cost-per-asset, vendor score) applied identically across all pillars and hubs, plus the v1 metric set committed in the 3YP (machine-based uptime, vendor performance scorecards, cost-per-asset, centralized energy dashboards). Owns the standard, not the weekly reporting.
- Cross-regional partnership and de-siloing. Operate as the connective tissue across BBM, PPM, P2P, and EVC and across the BCN1 and HYD16 hubs, standardizing SOPs and operating models, including the follow-the-sun blueprint, so services are delivered consistently regardless of geography.
- Stakeholder alignment and capacity planning. Partner with Finance, pillar leaders, and senior stakeholders across NA, LATAM, APAC, EU RME, the Global Central Team, Procurement/GPO, and the RP3 program to connect confirmed network launches to headcount and gearing inputs, and align AMOC strategy with senior and executive leadership goals.
