Payactiv is seeking a Senior Program Manager based in our Austin TX office, who is passionate about creating user-centric fintech solutions that empower businesses and workers alike. This role requires a strategic thinker and customer advocate who thrives in a fast-paced environment and excels at cross-functional collaboration. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, a deep understanding of financial products, and a relentless focus on delivering exceptional user experiences.
What you will do…
- Lead the planning, execution, and successful delivery of multiple large-scale, cross-functional programs and strategic initiatives.
- Partner with executive leadership and key stakeholders to define program objectives, success metrics, scope, timelines, resource requirements, and priorities.
- Develop comprehensive program plans that include milestones, dependencies, budgets, risk management strategies, communication plans, and governance frameworks.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams across Product, Engineering, Operations, Customer Success, Compliance, Finance, Marketing, and other business functions to ensure successful execution.
- Drive accountability across teams by proactively identifying roadblocks, facilitating decision-making, and ensuring timely resolution of issues.
- Establish and maintain program governance processes, ensuring transparency through executive dashboards, status reports, and KPI tracking.
- Identify program risks, develop mitigation strategies, and escalate critical issues appropriately to executive leadership.
- Manage competing priorities while balancing strategic initiatives with operational execution.
- Facilitate executive-level meetings, steering committees, and cross-functional planning sessions.
- Monitor program performance using key performance indicators (KPIs) and data-driven insights to measure business impact and recommend improvements.
- Lead post-implementation reviews, capturing lessons learned and driving continuous process improvement.
- Contribute to the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of Project Management Office (PMO) standards, methodologies, templates, and best practices.
- Mentor and provide guidance to Program Managers and Project Managers, promoting consistency and excellence in program execution.
- Stay informed on emerging industry trends, technologies, and best practices to identify opportunities for innovation and increased operational efficiency.
What you need…
- Master's degree (MBA or related discipline) preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Project Management, Engineering,Computer Science, or a related field require
- 7–10 years of progressively responsible experience in program management, project management, or business operations, preferably within fintech, financial services,SaaS, or technology organizations.
- Demonstrated success leading large, complex, cross-functional programs from inception through implementation.
- Strong understanding of program management methodologies, project lifecycle management, Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, and hybrid delivery models.
- Exceptional organizational, analytical, and strategic thinking skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
- Excellent executive communication, presentation, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proven ability to influence without direct authority and build strong collaborative relationships across all levels of the organization.
- Experience developing executive dashboards, KPIs, reporting frameworks, and governance processes.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to make sound decisions in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
- Proficiency with project management and collaboration tools such as Jira, Confluence, Asana, Smartsheet, Monday.com, Microsoft Project, or similar platforms. PMP, PgMP, PMI-ACP, Scrum Master, or comparable project management certification preferred.
