We're looking for experienced Senior Project Managers who can lead the successful delivery of complex capital programmes across our Water, Waste and Infrastructure portfolios. You'll be responsible for driving safe, efficient and customer-focused project delivery while leading teams, managing stakeholders and ensuring programme outcomes are achieved.
We're looking for an Senior Project Manager to join our Capital Delivery team.
This is an opportunity for a confident leader who can oversee a portfolio of projects, influence across multiple stakeholders and help develop the next generation of project delivery professionals.
HOW WE WORK
Working arrangements vary across our Capital Delivery teams and are agreed on a manager-by-manager basis. As a result, office and home-working expectations may differ depending on the team and role you join.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
· Proven experience delivering complex engineering, construction, operational or capital projects and programmes.
· Extensive project management experience, including budget management, forecasting, programme planning and risk management.
· Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and managing project delivery through others.
· Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence, negotiate and build relationships at all levels.
· Experience managing contractors, suppliers and supply chain partners to achieve successful project outcomes.
· Strong commercial awareness and understanding of project controls.
· Experience managing project governance, approvals and business case submissions.
· Ability to identify and mitigate complex project and programme risks.
· Experience developing and supporting high-performing teams.
· Full UK driving licence.
Desirable
- Experience within the water, wastewater, utilities, engineering or infrastructure sectors.
- Experience delivering large-scale or complex capital programmes.
- Knowledge of NEC contracts and project management frameworks.
- Strong understanding of CDM regulations and health & safety requirements.
- Experience managing programme resources and budgets.
- APM qualification or equivalent.
- NEC accreditation.
- Degree or equivalent qualification in Engineering, Construction, Environmental or Project Management related discipline.
- Professional membership (or working towards) with an appropriate body such as ICE, CIWEM or IMechE

As a Senior Project Manager, you'll play a key role in shaping and delivering these programmes, leading teams and working with partners to deliver projects safely, efficiently and to the highest standards.
