Senior Project Coordinator/Manager
Summary
Part-time (20–25 hrs/week) Senior Project Coordinator/Manager at DataCraft Analytics in Wellington, acting as the client-facing link between customers and internal data science delivery teams. A non-technical, relationship and coordination-focused role, largely supporting health-sector projects.
About DataCraft
DataCraft Analytics is a data-driven services company providing expert professional services and tools in data science and data analysis. We deliver our own services and build our own products.
A large proportion of our work is in the health sector, where our software, platforms and services support Primary Health Organisations and General Practices across New Zealand. We also work with government agencies, NGOs and academic institutions.
We're proud of the work we do and the positive impact it has. Much of our work is focused on helping organisations use data to make better decisions and improve the services they provide.
About the role
We're looking for an experienced Senior Project Coordinator or Project Manager, to join our Wellington-based team on a part-time basis. This is a hands-on, client facing role where you'll work across a number of projects, managing day to day communication and coordination between our customers and internal delivery teams.
Our projects can involve multiple stakeholders, competing requests and plenty of moving parts. You'll be the person who helps make sense of it all. You'll build strong relationships with clients, understand what they need, manage incoming requests and work with our teams to coordinate the appropriate response.
A big part of the role is making sure our specialist teams have the right information to do their work, without being pulled in different directions by competing client demands. You'll also help keep activities, actions and communication on track, ensuring clients know what's happening and what to expect.
This isn't a technical project management position. You won't be responsible for managing the technical components or taking overall ownership of projects. Your focus will be on the people, relationships and coordination that help projects run smoothly.
About you
We're looking for someone who is confident dealing with people, highly organised and comfortable managing competing priorities.
You'll bring:
Experience in project or programme coordination/management, or a similar client-facing role
Strong relationship management skills, ideally working with government, health or other complex organisations
The confidence to manage client expectations, ask the right questions and work through competing requests
Excellent communication, organisation and follow-through
Sound judgement, initiative and the ability to work independently
You'll be comfortable working with specialists from different backgrounds and won't need to be the technical expert in the room. More importantly, you'll know how to listen, clarify what's needed, keep people informed and ensure things don't fall through the cracks.
Why join DataCraft?
This is an opportunity to put your experience to good use working with a small, experienced team on projects that have a positive impact. You'll work approximately 20–25 hours per week, spread across four or five days, from our Wellington CBD office.
The shorter working days may suit someone looking for a better balance between work and other commitments, while still wanting an interesting and rewarding role.
We offer:
· Wellness leave
· Funded flu and COVID vaccinations
· Public transport and active travel allowances
· Physical wellbeing and eye-care allowances
· Modern Wellington CBD offices
· Sit-stand desks and quality equipment
· Free espresso coffee, tea, fruit and biscuits
· Regular team lunches and social events
· Healthy work-life balance
Most importantly, you'll be joining a team of good people doing interesting, worthwhile work, where your ability to build relationships and keep things running smoothly will be valued.
