Senior Project Engineer – Carbon Fiber Exterior Components

Design Consulting GmbH in Turin, Italy, is seeking an experienced Senior Project Engineer to support the development of carbon fiber body components within a premium automotive vehicle program.

You will oversee the full engineering lifecycle from feasibility to SOP, coordinate suppliers and internal teams, and lead technical convergence, with strong emphasis on DFMEA, DVPs, and engineering releases to ensure successful production launch.

Lead the engineering development of carbon fiber exterior components. Coordinate suppliers and internal engineering teams. Lead technical convergence and project review meetings. Create and maintain Technical Specifications. Develop and maintain DFMEA documentation. Create and maintain System and Component DVPs. Manage Engineering Releases and Engineering Changes. Support quotation analysis with Purchasing. Support prototype builds and production launch activities. Prepare weekly project reports and technical documentation. Minimum 5 years of experience in automotive product development. Experience leading technical development activities. Knowledge of complete automotive development processes from feasibility through SOP. Exterior Trim, BIW, Vehicle Structure experience.
