Senior Project Engineer
Job Description
- Read, review, and interpret project drawings, specifications, and design requirements, and highlight any discrepancies, ensuring adherence to relevant codes and standards
- Prepare the project schedule and ensure it aligns with the Project Master Schedule
- Identify and inform the Construction Manager/Project Manager of any issues that may impact the project master schedule or budget
- Prepare and submit the Method Statement, Risk Assessment and Safe Work Procedure for the site works
- Propose any required temporary works
- Plan and arrange the site works, including arranging utilities, materials, plan and machineries
- Discuss any technical or site issues with the design team
- Attend design and weekly meetings
- Attend internal coordination meetings with subcontractors/suppliers
- Attend daily tool box meeting and pre-start meeting
- Brief supervisors and workers pertaining to the site works and to ensure that they carry out the works accordance to the plan, method and safely
- Review and prepare material requisition forms
- Sign/acknowledge the PTW and be responsible for any safety violations or incidents/accidents
- Read and understand the general specification, project specification and construction drawings
- Raise or discuss any site issues with the Design team or Construction Manager
- Conduct site inspections with Client, QPS/RE/RTO on site and close the RFI comments
- Oversea daily operations on the construction site and report to Construction Manager/Project Manager
- Ensure the works are carried out safely, efficiently and in accordance with specification and construction drawings
- Communicate regularly with QPS/RE/RTO and Construction Manager/Project Manager on the work status
- Foster positive relationship with all stakeholders involved in the project
- Liaise with surveyor to ensure project is done according to the survey plan
- Monitor all instrumentation readings and report to management of any abnormal readings
Job Requirement
- Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent (Recognize by BCA & PE Board)
- Independent with good communication skill
- Good organizational and planning skills
- Effective communication and coordination skills and team work
- Able to work independently and in a team
- Able to start immediately or within a short notice period will have added advantage
- LTA cycling path project experience will be preferred
