Senior Project Engineer
Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and manage assigned projects from award through completion, ensuring work is delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with contractual and technical requirements.
- Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal departments to ensure effective communication, timely decision-making, and smooth project execution.
- Develop and monitor project schedules, track project milestones, identify potential delays, and implement mitigation measures to ensure timely project delivery.
- Coordinate manpower, materials, equipment, subcontractors, and site activities to optimise productivity and ensure project objectives are achieved.
- Ensure all project activities, materials, installations, and completed works comply with approved drawings, project specifications, client requirements, company quality standards, and applicable codes and regulations.
- Coordinate inspections and testing activities, review inspection reports, manage Inspection and Test Plans (ITP),Method Statements, inspection checklists, Non-Conformance Reports (NCR),Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA), and ensure proper documentation and record keeping.
- Investigate quality issues, perform root cause analysis, implement corrective and preventive actions, and monitor their effectiveness to minimise rework and improve project quality.
- Support procurement activities by reviewing technical specifications, evaluating suppliers and subcontractors, monitoring material delivery schedules, and ensuring purchased items comply with project quality requirements.
- Monitor project costs, variations, risks, and resource utilisation. Identify opportunities for cost optimisation while maintaining project quality and contractual obligations.
- Prepare and maintain project documentation including progress reports, technical submissions, quality records, material approvals, inspection reports, meeting minutes, and project close-out documentation.
Requirements:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in engineering management working directly with project engineering teams dealing with process and cleaning equipment and railway depot equipment in manufacturing industry.
- Strong interest in quality control/assurance experience in the process and cleaning equipment and railway industry.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.
