ACCIONA is delivering the design and construction of two land-backed wharves at Lumsden Point in Port Hedland, WA. The project supports the export of critical minerals like lithium and copper, and the import of renewable energy infrastructure. Identified as a priority by Infrastructure Australia, Lumsden Point will become a key logistics hub for the state's mining and energy sectors.
About Opportunity
As Senior Project Engineer, you'll join our Lumsden Point wharves project on a 2:1 roster, reporting to the Construction Manager. You'll coordinate and control engineering works across inspection, scheduling, planning, surveying and quality, keeping delivery safe, on time and within budget. You'll provide technical and HSEQS support to Supervisors, mentor junior engineers, and manage accurate reporting on cost, time, scope and quality.
Key accountabilities for the position will be:
- Manage tenders, bids and technical submissions
- Develop construction methods and manage temporary works
- Control project schedules and critical path activities
- Coordinate construction engineering activities on site
- Apply digital engineering tools to plan and coordinate works
- Mentor and support development of junior engineers
- Report project cost, time, scope and quality outcomes
Required Skills and Competencies
- Bachelor Degree in Engineering
- Structures experience in a construction environment
- Working knowledge of HS&E requirements
- Strong communication and stakeholder skills
- Port or marine infrastructure experience desirable
