Senior Project Engineer
Kitchell is looking for a driven, detail-oriented Senior Project Engineer to join our Phoenix team and build a long-term career with one of the most innovative and growth-focused construction companies in the U.S.

What You’ll Do
- Play a central role in project execution by managing submittals, RFIs, and documentation with accuracy and urgency
- Partner with Project Managers and Superintendents to keep projects on schedule, on budget, and aligned with contract requirements
- Coordinate meetings, track action items, and ensure clear communication across project teams
- Maintain organized project records, including drawings, logs, and change documentation
- Monitor material procurement and support schedule updates to keep projects moving forward
- Help identify risks early by understanding subcontract scopes and project requirements
- Support quality control efforts and ensure work aligns with Kitchell’s standards and project specifications
- Assist with change orders, progress payments, and financial tracking
- Contribute to bid processes and project startup/closeout activities
- Mentor junior engineers or interns and help strengthen the team
What You Bring
- 4–6 years of experience as a Project Engineer in commercial construction
- Strong understanding of construction documents, processes, and project coordination
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with project management software and scheduling tools
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field
- OSHA 10 certification
