Senior Project Manager
Summary
Leads secure cloud platform projects for US federal defense clients, coordinating teams and stakeholders to deliver mission-critical systems in classified environments.
Accenture Federal Services is seeking a Project Manager to deliver secure cloud platform implementations supporting government customers. This role focuses on planning, executing, and delivering projects supporting customer missions in classified and sensitive environments. The ideal candidate will coordinate cross-functional teams with a servant-leader approach to drive operational excellence while developing relationships with government leadership throughout the project lifecycle.
What you’ll do:
Project Planning & Execution:
- Develop and execute end-to-end project management activities across the full project lifecycle
- Define and manage project scope in collaboration with Technical Lead and key stakeholders; establish clear milestones and deliverables
- Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, dependencies, finance, and staffing with Technical Lead
- Ensure all dependencies are identified and represented in support of customer roadmap in support of the mission
Stakeholder Coordination & Communication
- Coordinate activities of platform resources to ensure effective execution and delivery
- Establish relationships with customer leadership; handle recurring meetings and written communication
- Coordinate with key stakeholders including System Owners, Technical Points of Contact (POCs), Product Owners, ISSM, SCA, and other program partners in support of system health
- Field and manage new customer requirements, ensuring alignment with program objectives
Financial & Contractual Management
- Support management of financial, contractual, and operational commitments
- Monitor and manage project budgets to ensure profitability
- Provide management oversight and support to project staff; establish standards; support growth for team members
- Identify opportunities for expanded scope and areas of growth
Performance Monitoring & Risk Management
- Monitor delivery performance and quality using established tools and defined metrics
- Track and report project progress to leadership and stakeholders
- Identify, assess, and mitigate risks in accordance with the project plan
- Manage issue resolution to minimize schedule and operational impacts
- Ensure alignment with key stakeholders within the government program office
- Escalate risks and issues to management for advice and support
What you’ll need:
- 10 years of Project Management experience
- 7 years of experience with government, defense, or in a technical environment
- 5 years communication experience with executive leadership
- Familiarity with cybersecurity, systems integration, cloud
Bonus Points if you have:
- Excellent communication, organizational, and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities across a complex, dynamic environment
- Active PMP or equivalent project management certification
- Cloud Platform certifications – preferably AWS, such as Cloud Practitioner, Solutions Architect Agile/Scrum certifications
Clearance:
Must have an active TS/SCI level government clearance

As required by local law, Accenture Federal Services provides reasonable ranges of compensation for hired roles based on labor costs in the states of California, Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, and the District of Columbia, and the city of Cleveland. The base pay range for this position in these locations is shown below. Compensation for roles at Accenture Federal Services varies depending on a wide array of factors, including but not limited to office location, role, skill set, and level of experience.
