Senior Project Manager
Job Purpose: The Project Manager will lead and execute strategic and operational projects across ALFIT, ensuring alignment with business objectives and successful delivery within agreed timelines, budgets, and quality standards. Working closely with senior leadership and cross-functional teams, the role focuses on project governance, risk management, stakeholder coordination, and resource planning to drive business growth, operational efficiency, customer experience, and overall transformation initiatives. Key accountabilities: 1. Strategic Contribution and Alignment Aligns projects with ALFIT’s strategic goals, driving business growth, innovation, operational efficiency, and service enhancement across all lines of business. 2. Portfolio Management and Prioritization Oversees and prioritizes a portfolio of projects based on business value, strategic impact, timelines, and resource availability. 3. End-to-End Project Management Manages the full project lifecycle from initiation to completion, ensuring timely delivery, risk management, KPI tracking, and regular reporting to senior leadership. 4. Process Review and Continuous Improvement Partners with the COO to identify process improvements, optimize workflows, and drive operational efficiency and continuous improvement initiatives. 5. Stakeholder Engagement and Communication Builds strong relationships with key stakeholders through clear communication, regular updates, and effective alignment on project objectives and progress. 6. Reporting, Documentation, and Performance Tracking Ensures accurate project reporting, documentation, performance monitoring, and post-project evaluations to support informed decision-making and future planning. 7. Communication & Working Relationships Collaborates with internal leadership teams, auditors, and operational departments, while coordinating with external service providers, auditors, and client stakeholders when required. 8. Authority & Decision Making Provides strategic project recommendations that support organizational decision-making and holds defined authority over managed projects.
Minimum Qualifications: • Bachelor’s Degree, ideally in engineering, business administration, economics or similar qualification Minimum Experience: • 7-10 years’ in similar roles; 3 or more in management consulting company or comparable knowledge from corporate function • Thorough knowledge and experience in project management, project management tools and methodologies (e.g. project planning and reporting, project budgeting, setting of project standards, project controlling). • Experience in working with “C” levels Job-Specific Knowledge & Skills: • Ideally good knowledge and understanding of the insurance business • Excellent written and verbal communication both in English, Arabic would be an advantage • Good knowledge of Microsoft applications, particularly profound experience in developing PowerPoint Presentations, MS Project • Good knowledge/certification in project management methodologies (e.g Agile, PMI, etc)
